Manchester City 1-3 MANCHESTER UNITED AET
Well, would you look at that, even without our goalkeeper we managed to complete the mountain of games in the Champions League and lift the inaugural trophy. Yes, missing my 'keeper did affect my planning I wont deny it, but like I've always said these things happen, you play the hand you're dealt and get on with it.
That we did, we lead and expectedly conceded, all in the first half then what was a close game dragged on into extra time where we believe we had the better and 2 goals late on gave us the shock win which no one gave us a chance of at the start of the season, and even less as the weeks events unfolded.
Federico Valverde grabbing the man of the match in the biggest game of the season means those questioning his arrival can be quiet as well, big players show up when it matters and he was instrumental today as he has been all season in a variety of roles.
It's a shame our domestic form is pretty patchy, but to see of 2 of the top 4 in EFL in the groups at that time, then see through the giants of Roma, the squad that can't be improved on in PSG and the best squad in the game (and our rivals) Man City, you can't get a much tougher run so this is some achievement.
