    One week after the new appointment of Jack Sorensen, multiple movement happens in Bergamo. It is clear that the new Manager wants to change the team’s philosophy and is trying to rejuvenate a bit the average age of the squad. First deal to be took was a market opportunity with the purchase of the promising young American defender Chris Harper from Real Sociedad while Wallace left the team to West Ham United. The net value paid was £5 mln, which might be viewed as good deal if Harper reach his full potential.

    Following this initial transfer, la Dea decided to reinforce his midfield by exchanging the Russian striker Miranchuk against the Swedish box-to-box Svanberg. In the same time Bakker and Guilavogui followed the same path. “I really like the complete style of Svanberg. I’m confident that his polyvalence will be a great asset for the team. I’m also happy to Welcome Guilavogui as back-up striker, I’m sure he will have opportunities to show his talent during the season” said Jack. In other word, the Swedish player will be in competition with Lookman for a place in the starting eleven depending of the tactics adopted by Sorensen.

Helik, 28, joins from Blackburn Rovers against £21 mln where he was unhappy with his playtime.The signing of Helik marks another key milestone in Atalanta's transfer strategy, as the Team needed to anticipate the probable departure of his current defensive line. The defenders have been linked with several clubs, as Atalanta considers reshaping its defensive options. It seens that Leverkusen might emerged from the mud. Meanwhile the Dutch midfielder’s technical skills have drawn interest from Newcastle but nothing confirmed now. While no decisions have been finalized, Sorensen acknowledged that some players may move on during the summer window. “These decisions are never easy, but they’re part of building a balanced and competitive squad.         Other club have pointed their interest for Gray and Mpanzu however Atalanta declined the offers for now but might be open to sell them later in the Mercato.
