"Morning, its been a busy one today so far here at Parkhead, we have already seen the arrival of veteran defender Joel Matip from Liverpool and top quality German stopper Oliver Baumann from Aston Villa, but im told we are not done yet, theres a lot of rumours surrounding new defensive midfielder Yacine Adli, we have been told from club sources that theres a potential that the frenchman after only arriving last week could be heading out the door, at this moment we arent sure how reliable the information is, but theres still potential that another deal could be done here at Parkhead before the window slams shut at 2pm, we dont expect much more to happen after that and in terms of captaincy choice, we out here firmly expect the Egyptian King Mo Salah to be handed the armband for The Bhoys this season, something again we expect to be announced in the next hour.... back to you" -
A late flurry of deals at DB Celtic Park.... now the window has slammed shut, can you give us a summary of this past hour Tim?
"Well what a day here at Parkhead, we heard a rumor that Yacine Adli might of been leaving very early on this afternoon, about an hour after that was reported, we saw Kalvin Phillips arrive here to have his medical on what was a proposed switch with Inter Milan and in the last 10 mins ive just had it confirmed that the deal has gone through and Kalvin Phillips has joined Celtic on 4 year deal, with Yacine Adli heading to Italy, Celtic were not done their as they shipped out last seasons club captain Matthias Ginter, its expected that the Bhoys are going to look for a younger defender in the auction to cover Ginters exit, with Ginter leaving that freed up the armband here and as it was expected, The Bhoys will be lead out by Mohammed Salah at DB Celtic Park next season, a whirlwind day but one that will probably solidify Celtics chances, as a Champions league spot challenger next season."Comment
