Kounde & Christensen Depart North London - CONFIRMED
Arsenal have today confirmed that they have agreed deals that will see the departures of defensive duo Jules Kounde and Andreas Christensen from The Emirates ;
Two of the main stays in Arsenals defence last season have been allowed to leave the club as it looks they are heading in a slightly different direction. It was reported that Kounde handed in a transfer request towards the end of season after being informed that the club were in the market for a couple of players and Blackburn were quick to get deal done while Christensen cuts his stay short at the club and leaves after just one season following his controversial move from rivals Spurs last pre season. He will be signing for Barcelona in the coming days.
Confirming the duos departure, the Manager had this to say ;
" We have taken the decision to let the two lads go and they go with our best wishes and thanks for what they have brought to the team during there stay here. We have had a few targets for a while and have stepped into the market in order to bring them in meaning the competition for places will be high and as a result both Jules and Andreas have decided to move in order to secure first team football ".
