After achieving survival in EFL1 last season by the string of their teeth Freddie Kaye has looked to strengthen his Real Sociedad in the preseason transfer window. The Basque outfit stayed up in FFO Season 2 on goal difference with Kaye's old side Schalke 04 being relegated to EFL 2 as a result.

"Last season was too tight to call" admitted Kaye. "Schalke were excellent throughout the campaign but we managed to get some big wins towards the end of the league and that just about kept us up. Looking ahead to the new season we've obviously lost Sepp van den Berg which is a big loss as he was excellent but we hope the signings we've brought in can take us to that next level. We want to achieve a comfortable EFL 1 league finish in the coming season."

Joining the squad at the Reale Arena for FFO 2 Season 3 are....

Croatian forward Rebic joins us from Blackburn Rovers. A major signing for Sociedad he is seen as the perfect forward to complement Diogo Jota in leading the line. Known for his ability to move out to the wing and stretch the play Rebic is expected to work well alongside the goal threat that is Jota.

    Tom Lockyer

The second Welshman to play for the club after the mighty John Toshack. Tom arrives in Spain from English outfit Luton Town in a deal that sees Marcus Thuram head in the other direction. Comfortable with the ball at his feet and strong in the tackle he looks an astute signing.

    Inigo Martinez

    Gabi Veiga

Spanish starlet Gabi Veiga arrives from West Ham United and the young midfielder will have his eyes set on making a first team spot his own. A skilful player with plenty of flair he will also be seen as an exciting option coming off the bench.
