  • Banks Jr - Attention Seeking Antics

As the season ended and the drama in the Fantasy Football Organisation (FFO) continues to capture headlines weeks after the final whistle blew, one cannot help but feel compelled to offer a more composed and rational perspective amid the chaotic circus that has surrounded the league via Mr Banks.

The recent controversies involving my counterpart, Andy Banks, and his penchant for contentious interactions have been a cause for concern within the FFO managers association. While I respect the competitive nature of the sport, it is vital to draw a clear line between healthy competition and unnecessary hostility. The persistent instigation and provocative behaviour exhibited by Banks serve only to disrupt the harmony and sportsmanship that should define our interactions within the league, something myself can be guilty of but on a humorous level with abuse absent in my debates, Mr Banks is as funny as his bowel movements that most the league must endure, I believe this shows you the level of manager you’re dealing with who not only finds this normal but funny.

Considering recent comments made by Mr. Banks concerning me, it has become evident that a more mature and measured approach is needed to ensure that the FFO remains a space where professionalism and fair play take precedence over unnecessary squabbles and personal attacks. As a manager who values integrity and respect, if it is given of course, I understand the need to perhaps not get embroiled in arguments with stupid people as I was once told you will be beaten on experience when you do so and will only look to respond to managers who look to attack me or this club and will refrain from being the instigator, even then we may just ignore them completely to ensure we aren’t distracted by idiotic behaviour.

While conflicts and disagreements may arise, it is essential to handle them with grace and dignity, or at least in a manner that doesn’t turn nasty, something Banks can’t quite grasp, particularly as he thinks he’s innocent.

In the spirit of unity and respect, I call upon my fellow managers to prioritise ignoring baby Banks as he looks to make a point out as he struggles to accept he’s not the most important Banks in the family and in typical look at me behaviour of younger siblings acting out to get everyone to notice them, we certainly notice him how can we not when he was handpicked with a ready made team in Juventus, his constant jobby pictures and last but not least his constant need for conflict, most managers know when they are wrong or out of order but when the response is “I don’t care” it seems the argument with both the FFO FA and the family’s third favourite child is an impossible task.

As the recent events have unfolded, it has become increasingly clear that some of my esteemed colleagues are operating in a realm of delusion, detached from the reality of the professional world of FFO because they are enabled, allowed to do as they please and allowed to think they are innocent. The continuous instigation and provocations from baby Banks, has created unnecessary friction and turmoil within the FFO. It is essential for all managers to ground themselves in a sense of reality and respect and choose to ignore him here on in, I know I will be ignoring him in the future as all that comes out of him is faeces, something many managers get to see from the man child as it continues to flow out at an alarming rate from both holes.

Furthermore, it is no secret that Andrew enjoys a certain level of protection within the FFO as alluded to earlier, courtesy of his brother, the FFO chairman and GM of the league Jon Banks. This protection has, in many ways, shielded him from the consequences of his actions, allowing him to operate with a sense of impunity that disrupts the harmony of the rest of the league as the FFO FA churn out press release after press release protecting Andrew with such classic statement of doing Leeds a “favour” after making him leave the leagues group chat of managers.

In recent years, the Fantasy Football Organisation (FFO) has been embroiled in a series of controversies, with one name consistently surfacing at the centre of discord - Andy Banks. Known for his outspoken nature and penchant for controversy, Banks has found himself in the eye of the storm on multiple occasions, with each incident conveniently attributed to external factors other than him.

What has raised concerns among fellow managers and the FFO community is Banks' seeming inability to take responsibility for his actions. Sources close to the incidents recall three separate occasions where Banks was involved in controversial situations within the last month, each time deflecting blame onto others. The troubling pattern of denial has not gone unnoticed, prompting many to question the true nature of Banks' role within the league and perhaps FFO FA.

Banks was reportedly involved in a heated altercation with a fellow manager during a league meeting. Despite multiple witnesses attesting to Banks' aggressive behaviour, he vehemently denied any wrongdoing, instead placing the blame squarely on the other party. The incident was swiftly brushed under the rug, leaving many to ponder the true extent of Banks' influence within the FFO FA as Leeds United manager Tim Davey was forced to leave the group chat after taking such abuse, this of source was spined back on Tim as “he started it” and “I don’t care” swiftly followed the FFO FA to deflect and launch an attack on the Dark Arts team of Steve Talbot, Ed Clark and Garysean Wilson to take prying eyes away from the disruptive and petulant little brother of GM Jon Banks, a tactic that’s been adopted several times last season but many see through it, many discuss it.

Most recently, Banks found himself entangled in a dispute over a potential transfer deal With Wilson over Adli and Kamara, leading to a breakdown in negotiations between two prominent clubs of Juventus and Inter Milan. As tensions escalated, Banks resorted to pointing fingers at external influences yet again, absolving himself of any accountability in the matter. The incident shed light on the growing concerns surrounding Banks' leadership style and his approach to conflict resolution within the FFO as Wilson was blamed for his deal with Blackburn, a matter that had nothing to do with Juventus or Banks Jr and again was subject to an FFO FA letter deciding to wade in issuing Inter Milan and official warning and fine for pulling the Blackburn deal while on the same correspondence defended Juventus with is being “different” we understand why it’s different but how much longer will the Union of league managers accept such feeble FA responses.

While the FFO has historically been a platform for healthy competition and camaraderie, the recurring pattern of denial exhibited by Banks has raised serious questions about the values that underpin the league. Many within the FFO community are calling for a thorough examination of Banks' conduct and its impact on the overall integrity of the league, but we hold our breath as we are expecting more FA fines direct to us for speaking out. This will be the last we say on this, we had to endure all this last week and yet Banks craving the limelight like second child usual does decides to go in front of the media and decide he wants to repeat himself all over again, it amazes me how a grown man with the attitude of a spoiled six year old is able to run a football club, then I remember it was ready made for him and is probably ran by the FA anyway with Juventus much storied past of match bribes and referee bungs.
