  • "You can't make me go there!"

    With Season 2 of FFO in the books, a great number of 'end of season' deals have already been agreed and are due to happen in the coming weeks.

    However, one such deal seemed to be agreed one minute, then dead in the water just minutes later.
    The deal in question involved Juventus' Y_Adli and Inter Milan's B_Kamara.

    We are led to believe that Inter Milan, who finished 6th for the 8th season in a row whilst always improving, (Must have improved the training ground and food stands) were set to send 24 year old B_Kamara and a sum of money around £50,000,000 to Juventus in return for the services of 22 year old French international Y_Adli, but just minutes after a deal was agreed between the two clubs, the deal was dead.

    It is said that Y_Adli refused to leave Juventus, claiming that he wanted to fight for his place in the team.
    Adli, who signed from AS Roma 2 seasons ago, made 55 appearances for the Old Lady last season (29 from the bench) and helped the club to a 3rd placed finish and DPT trophy glory however the club deemed him surplus to requirements in an attempt to raise funds for future deals it seems.

    After Adli refused to leave, the two clubs ended talks and as it stands, Juventus have made a u-turn on their decision to sell the Frenchman.

    We caught up with all parties involved in the transfer saga;

    Juventus manager Andy Banks had the following to say:

    "Yacine is a quality player, his versatility helps the team in many ways and his quality often goes unnoticed. He was a big part of our squad last season and despite this we were definitely open to moving him on as he's struggled to nail down a starting position in the team, so we reached out to Inter to potentially replace him with someone with less ability but improve our bank balance and after some negotiations, we struck a deal with fellow Italians Inter Milan.
    BUT this is where Yacine shocked me, and everyone at the club as he's stood up and refused to travel for a medical, insisting that this is the club for him.

    We've discussed things since and he knows what we at the club expects from him in terms of development and hopefully he'll be a Juventus player for a long time."

    22 year old defensive midfielder Yacine Adli released this statement via social media:

    "I understand why the manager made the decision he did, I came off the bench more timed last season than I started games but this is where I want to be.

    Inter Milan would be a huge step down from me after playing for AS Roma and Juventus and while I believe I could go there and be a fan favourite as one of their best players, the fans here are the ones that I care about."

    Inter Milan manager Gary Wilson had this to say when questioned:

    "Well, as everybody knows, we here at Inter Milan do the fastest deals in the world. Just ask anyone!

    We made this deal and we were chuffed to bits as this was actually an improvement on the pitch rather than the recent ones such as a bigger car park at the stadium, more toilets and a fanzone with a DJ.

    I was gutted to hear that the deal would collapse, however as king of collapsed deals, as well as slight improvements and fast deals, I understand."
