Sheffield United insiders are whispering about the possible sale and release of defender R_Gosens. A source close to the situation spoke to this correspondent but would not allow their name to be given. “Gosens is probably the first casualty of the complete re-work of the Blades roster. He’s been hanging out on the transfer market for many weeks and no one has been interested. It’s not looking good for him.” A pending transfer joining to the club will allow one person to be released, and Gosens will probably bring the largest amount of cash for for the club. He’s also the highest paid player for Sheffield United. As the Blades struggle towards a likely relegation to Champ next season, there could be many more roster moves forthcoming.
