Gunners Boss Confirms Squaddies Arrival Plus Ansu Fati Latest
Arsenal have today confirmed that they secured deals that will see the club meet the twenty three player squad requirement and will not now need to buy from the buy list although they wont rule it out in order to keep the squad numbers up ahead of the season.
With a huge demand of players currently affecting the game with some clubs needing as many as nine players, it looks like a very busy period for some clubs as they scramble to pick up bargains which right now look few and far between with average players going for a premium when you compare to a season or two ago.
The Arsenal boss spoke this morning and confirmed that he had perhaps overpaid but feels its worth it to secure the twenty three limit before buy now list opens where its going to be a hectic time in the game ;
" Pleased overall to have done the deals we have in order to get the players in. Frustrated really in the way one or two left us but that's my fault for taking my eye off the ball and making us spend bit more than what we thought but to be honest, we allowed some of our budget to bring three squad players in and we have done that under budget by two million so its a box ticked for sure and now allows the option to buy another one or two should we decide to once the buy now opens ".
The Arsenal boss also gave the latest on the Ansu Fati situation with the club last week confirming that the player would be sold. With many questions still needing to be answered by the club such as what the deal is, what club are buying him etc, the Manager had the following to say ;
" As far as we are concerned, we have a deal agreed. We haven't heard anything from the club concerned for a little bit but have reached out to ensure the deal will be confirmed from their end but have received no feedback so we really aren't sure what's happening although with the window not currently open, we wont really look at it until then but from our point of view, a deal is ready to be agreed from our end. There is a huge possibility that they wont let us know and should that be the case then we will either look at other options we have or even keep him for next season ".
