Bentancur Set For Arsenal Departure
With the news coming out of Arsenal this morning that James Trafford has signed for the club, it looks set to be a case of one in and one out after the club confirmed that Midfielder Rodrigo Bentncur has been given permission to talk personal terms with Liverpool after the two clubs agreed a fee earlier this week.
The twenty eight year old has only been part of the Arsenal roster for a season but the club have decided to allow the player a move away which will Arsenal the chance to pursue other transfer targets. A big loss to the side that's for sure but one that the club will no doubt have someone lined up to fill the void left by Bentancur.
The Arsenal Manager gave the news to FFO News this morning ;
" As we said earlier, it is case right now that we have to buy in order to sell and as a result had to take the decision to allow Rodrigo Bentancur a move away after just a season with us. Hes been a great player in that time for us but we received an offer that we felt we couldn't turn away. In fact, I think the talks with Liverpool were literally minutes after opening which was as always with Livi a pleasure and no messing about, we had a fee in mind that would tempt us to sell and they hit it so we had to listen and make a tough decision and we feel that going forward it will prove to be the right on ".
The Arsenal boss also spoke about the future of Ansu Fati, the player who seems to have caught the headlines in recent weeks with reports that he is also set to leave North London which have caused the Arsenal boss to receive an FA punishment ;
" A lot has been said about this one and right now I feel it is best that we just all get back to grips and stay in our own lanes to avoid further sanctions and punishments to the club. We can confirm that Ansu Fati will be leaving the club once the transfer window opens and news will be released nearer the time regarding that. We took a lot of time and spent a lot to bring I'm here so naturally its taken time to get the deal and fee we feel he is worth and that is right for Arsenal Football Club and nobody else but will confirm now that he will be laving us with our best wises on his new chapter in his career ".
