The PSG mananger has broken his silence on Sundays news about the breakdown of the "purchase" of the french clubs promising DM
Unfortunately, one of the features of FFO transfers is that they can be cancelled at any point until they are posted on the transfer boards. When you agree a deal in advance you are relying on the integrity of the other managers, and some have some, and some do not have any.
In the case of Lepanent, I always had a suspicion that the original bid was not serious, and was purely payback for what he considers to be my involvement of him being caught blatantly cheating. I originally put out an “over the top” BHN on the player, and it was immediately met, much to my surprise. However, I gave the Juventus manager the benefit of the doubt. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. I guess the old saying that a cheetah never changes its spots is true here. When the manager refused to do the deal early that was a massive red flag to me, but I was prepared to wait until the end of the season before pursuing another deal, just in case the FFO admin threw a curve ball and increased the loan limits. I have already had many enquires about the player since I put him on the market, and I am confident I will realise his true value, which I believe to be in the £90-100m range.
Going forward, it is unlikely that PSG will do any deals with Juventus, although it will be no loss to the club as there will always be other clubs willing to purchase the players that the French club deem surplus to requirements. We will give the cheating manager, who has got his club to where it is via whatever nefarious means possible, with the help of his older brother (swapping a £300m defenders for an average youth, allegedly seeing the list of spot auction players beforehand and knowing which one to lump one, resulting in the list having to be made public, the list goes on..) a very wide berth.
The club will know continue to secure a deal for Lepanent with the vast number of managers who still have morals.
