NEWS breaking over the past 24 hours saw some unusual developments in the world of football with, Juventus boss Andy Banks, describing his chase for two of Bayern Munich's star players, as well as comments on the former and current Bayern Munich manager.
Harris was approached by journalists after he left a local beer hall in Munich, having had breakfast beers just moments before. One question that seemed to be on the mind of all media members was ' Have you and Andy Banks really buried the hatchet and moved on?". Harris had this to say..
"The negotiations we have had regarding two of our key players, were accurately reported by the Juventus manager. It was a respectful and patient conversation between us both, and to be fair to the Old Lady - the offers, all of them, were incredibly generous. I thought long and hard about these offers. I didn't reject lightly. I may have even made the wrong decision as far as the board, and fans believe, but I am confident that the two players in question will be key players for many, many years to come for us."
Speculation then turned to the actual relationship between the managers, and Harris had no problems answering. "Look, it is no secret we had a chequered past. I reacted very poorly two seasons ago regarding certain things in football, and I know Andy hasn't always possibly made the best decisions within media and comments himself, but what is true is as far as I am concerned that is past us both. I am looking very much to pitting myself against the Juventus legend, Ed at PSG, Simon at Atletico, Ian at Real, and John at Inter. Among others...this is such an exciting opportunity for me, and Jon Banks' 4th finish is something I can hope to emulate, but it was a fantastic achievement. One that is going to be a tough act to follow."
