Red Bull Salzburg announced today that they had signed a contract renewal with first year player Tyler Pasnik. The 19 year old has started every game and and has adjusted well to EFL2 play. His last game he scored 2 goals against Marseille. He is expected to continue to stay as an attacking midfielder. Also, source club half talking about an increased role for Ludovit Ries. He's expected to send most of the second half as a starter in place of Giorgio Altare. Reis has only appeared once this season. No reason was mentioned for the change. Finally, we've learned that there is spirited discussion whether Salzburg Academy star Shay Given should be brought on to the main club next season. Given is thought to a better raw talent that with of Salzburg's backup keepers, but there are those in the player development department that think another two seasons of Academy training would be better.
