Koita inks contract for next season

Malian sharpshooter Sekou Koita has been offered and a has accepted a contract to play for Red Bull Salzburg next season. Koita carried a heavy burden last season as a single forward in manager Dave Thacker’s patched together lineup. He’s been paired with Dorgeles Nene this season as rookie Tyler Pasnik has filled up the the attacking MF slot. “I’m happy to stay with Salzburg for another year, explained Koita. “The club is improving and I want to be part of that.” Nene and Pasnik have not signed yet, but it’s expected that an announcement will be made before mid-season.
