    Sparta Prague stadium upgrade

At todays press conference AC Sparta Prague sporting director Tomas Rosicky announced that the club will be extending the Generali Arena from a 35 thousand seater to a 45 thousand seater.
The cost of the upgrade will be 11,000,000 and will be magically completed immediately ready for pre-season and the start of season four.

A request to expand the stadium was one of the first things new manager Mr Brennan asked for when he arrived.
Rosicky along with the board agreed with Mr Brennan and see the need for a bigger stadium to help increase match day revenue.

Speaking on the day Tomas Rosicky said, Having the extra 10 thousand supporter on home match days and the projected extra sales in the Sparta store onsite will help increase the budget for
future upgrades to the club facilities.
The Sporting director also said that this is part of the long term plan to improve the team, club and facilities while still being mindful of our budget.

When asked question by the press regarding budget for other areas, The sporting director talked for a long time on the ins and outs over the last few years and where they have improved the
management team and squad. He stated also there is still money available for squad upgrades and this will be made available for the manager Mr Brennan to spend as requested in his contract negotiations.

At the press conference and commenting on the announcement, AC Sparta Prague Manager Emlyn Brennan stated his delight at the new development to the Stadium and to the club facilities.
He looks forward to kicking of the new season in the newly upgraded stadium.
Mr Brennan also mentioned that there has been work ongoing regarding player coming and goings and will discuss this at a later date as he didn't want to over shadow this great day for the club.

Sporting director Tomas Rosicky also stated that long term they would like to increase the stadium again next season to 55 thousand depending on budget,
with club funds low and limits to the expansion rules we went the max this year and may do it little by little going forward.
