During the last season, a surprise announcement came out that Jason Hopton, was stepping down from AC Milan after just one season, and moving back to Germany with Frankfurt.

Since then, Jason has gone on file saying “what I achieved at AC could not be repeated, I hit 4th place, the best of the rest and that is a feat we cannot top. My decision to stand down is to give AC the best chance to hit new levels whilst I would prefer to go down a different road.”

So, what is his plan at Frankfurt:
    • increase the stadium year on year
    • create the best academy in the game
    • integrate the academy players into the first team
There is no point investing heavily into an academy if we do not bring them through. So we need to make sure our players are good enough for the first team and that requires money, time and patience.

Funding the stadium increases in order to benefit in the future is again key. We need to balance the books, have gate receipts adding to the bottom line and allowing us to invest heavily into the academy year after year. We will need to exit out some players but long term is the key for Frankfurt.

Last year Frankfurt managed to land in the playoffs which I don’t think can be repeated, immediately. But we have a 5 season plan and believe that the DPT is a realistic target within that time frame.

    Lets make Frankfurt great again.
