RB Salzburg transfer strategy becomes clear

Red Bull Salzburg will not be making a big splash in the current off-season, according to club insiders. A top to bottom review of the current finances has been done, and it appears that very few discussions about transfers have been made. There are rumblings that RBS thinks they are too top-heavy on keepers, with four on the roster. While Atubolu is not going anywhere, neither Schlager or Djoco are thought to be safe. Shay Givens, a keeper in the RBS Academy, is expected to enter the lineup in Season 5.

RBS is not in dire straits. Their balance is currently 9th in the league (before the transfer window opens). Possible moves could be:

Stadium improvements: This is almost a given to support a better payroll than last years. RBS will likely at 10,000 capacity for the coming season.

Academy Expansion: Either by adding coaches or just players, the RBS Academy is likely to increase.

Aggressive Media Campaign: RBS their new campaign and better access to the coaches and managers will improve the bottom line.

Its possible the some moves could be made during the season, especially with some good results on in the Cups. However, Salzburg is putting long term success ahead of transfer deals.
