Welcome to Ewood wouldn’t he… home of Blackburn Rovers news. Season 4 is almost here and we would like to thank you for joining us on this journey as we set out in our next quest in the premier league under new management with Tony Ayre at the helm. We also venture into Europe during what is setup to be a very exciting season for Rovers fans across the FFO universe. Blackburn Rovers would like to extend their heartfelt thanks for former manager Ryan Field and wish him the best of luck with his future endeavours.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Blackburn wasted no time in replacing the outgoing manager after they agreed to pay the release clause in his contract and brought in former Liverpool and Fiorentina manager Tony Ayre from Valencia. Ayre has signed a 3-year contract with a possible 1 year extension pending performances and will pocket a mere fuck all every week for his services to the club. Ayre was quoted as saying on joining the club, “It was an opportunity that came at me fast and was 50/50 in the debate of joining but once I knew the opportunity at gaining 12 automatic points from beating Liverpool and Barnsley, it was too good of an opportunity to turn down”.

Ayre is known for his previous records against the former Barcelona manager with Mr Edwards more often than not falling short against Mr Ayre and at the other end of the table we have Barnsley and their new manager Mr Harris… and we all know what happened to that cry baby when Valenica knocked his side out of the cup last season, “going up against some friendly faces” was the reason behind Ayre’s more back to Lancashire and Rovers are excited to have someone with his pedigree at the helm.

    THE EGYPTIAN KING

News coming out of Ewood park today is Egyptian king Mohammed Salah has today been named captain of Blackburn Rovers for Season 4. It was rumoured that Wilf Zaha was promised the vacant captaincy but has found himself shipped out to Germany after reports he was send nude photos of the assistant managers daughter to his team mates and was swiftly removed the squad and website and shipped out to Borussia Dortmund in a deal that will see Romelu Lukaku travel the opposing direction.

Mo Salah is set to lead the line and carry the burden of leading the team in to season four in their push for champions league places and on top of that lead the team in their European campaign. Thirty two year old Mo Salah has said the following to our club website "It is a great honour to be named captain of this club, Back in the early nineties it was a huge club and it is my aim to fire the club back to its glory days and give these fans something to cheer about. I have experience as a captain from my previous clubs and i will be looking to use this experience to help those around me be the best we can and set ourselves up for a successful season. I also captain my country so carrying the burden is not something new to me and i am confident I will succeed. I cannot wait for my opportunity to lead this team out in front of our fans at Ewood park but right now my attention is on my debut at my former club Liverpool who we take on at Anfield on the opening day.

Manager Tony Ayre also caught up with us prior to his teams training camp for an exclusive interview prior to him making his long awaited managerial debut

Karken Wong: Thank you for taking time out to sit with us here today

Tony: Welcome mate, its my pleasure

Karken Wong: Lets jump straight in to it... can you talk us throgh the Wilfred Zaha saga that has unfolded?

Tony: Look I'm not here to talk about negative impacts on this club or team, we're building towards the new season and we sign this lad to help propel us up the table and he pulled some stupid shit and I don't stand for that. He might have gotten away with these antics in London but up in the north west, we don't care for that bullshit so he's on his way and we are happy to have Romelu here as his replacement.

Karken Wong: Can you go in to more details with what he did?

Tony: No, I wont discuss him anymore. He's done with the club!!!

Karken Wong: Lets talk about Mo Salah and his new captain role.

Tony: He was our leading candidate from the day he signed, hes settled in here like hes been here for years, has taken the time to get to know his new team mates, the staff and has even been seen around the place interacting with the fans. He is going to be a cult hero here and the fans already love him. He is everything the Blackburn want to be.

Karken Wong: Will you miss Mitoma?

Tony: Of course, any side would... But we have Mo Salah, god knows what Mr Harris was smoking letting him go but his loss is our gain, I know he has two small girls running around his ankles so maybe he was sleep deprived or something im not sure but we're not going to let that ruin our chances at success and having Mo salah lead the line gives us a great chance at success.

Karken Wong: Liverpool first game, any love lost after your failed stint there?

Tony: Yeah look, I wasn't in a good place mentally when I was in charge there but I cannot fault their support for me at the time so I am grateful to them for that but I won't be taking it easy on them, we are travelling for three points, not to sight see.

Karken Wong: Your old pal MR Edwards is now in charge, and he failed to mention you as a close friend during his last media, how does that make you feel?

Tony: Look, he can like or dislike whoever he wants, if I was him I wouldn't like me either after all the times I've beaten him in the past but he's a great manager and I'm looking forward in going head to head with him again and im sure we will catch up after the game for a drink to riminess on all my victories in the past.

Karken Wong: Memphis Depay has recently joined, happy with the capture?

Tony: Sorry but what sort of question is that? Of course I am happy with him, if I wasn't i wouldnt have asked the board to go out and get him, he is a player of top quality and the fact a club like Blackburn was able to capture him shows how far we have come in a short time.

Karken Wong: Sorry, I didn't mean to cause offence...

Tony: Well get on board and support the team is pack your desk and ill put out an advert for a new website reporter...

Karken Wong: Can we erm ermm can ermm can we expect any more deals?

Tony: Im not sure... Never say never, we are always looking to improve but we aren't just going to splash out money on anyone. So i won't say yes but I won't say no either.

sorry but I have to go now, i've got a meeting in London to get to.

      Liverpool VS Blackburn Rovers
      1st July 2024
      3pm Kick off
      Anfield

Match result - Liverpool 0-1 Blackburn Rovers

      "Liverpool 0-1 Blackburn

IT was not pretty but it was important to start the season with a win. We predicted what Liverpool would play with their limited resources and set ourselves up to prevent their strong attack but also create some chances ourselves.
As it happened, we managed to score with our first attack of the game, courteous of a returned goal from captain Mo Salah, we then just sat back in the hope of a quick break to add a second, as it happened, we offer very little but have a lot of gratitude to our keeper for the 3 points after he made 10 saves.

We didn't deserve the three points, but we will definitely take them.

      Good luck Graeme."

      Managers website reaction

"It was a great atmosphere as always at Anfield and it was great to kick start our season off with a win. It was obviously an emotional day for me, returning to the club where i once managed but I had to put emotions aside and concentrate on Blackburn Rovers and I cannot fault the lads today, they were terrific. They got the early goal and we defended fantastic and hung on for the points. We have a lot to thank our keeper for who deservedly got man of the match today and he has earned his drinks tonight! We don't stop here though, we have to push on from here and come the end of the season be as high as we can be on that league table but for now, we travel back home to Blackburn to get ready for our cup game against Huddersfield on Wednesday night!
      Thanks for your time.

        Blackburn Rovers Vs Huddersfield Town
        3rd July 2014
        8pm kick off
        Ewood Park

        Blackburn Rovers 3-1 Huddersfield Town

We started the game early again and were 1 up inside the first 10 minutes, however we found ourselves pushed back and the away side got themselves an equaliser, which seemed to kick us back in to gear and we pushed on from there and fired in two more goals whilst not letting in any more.
Overall it was a very good display from us and we are we please with the win and advancing to the next round whilst also getting some valuable minutes to a couple of players in the lower ranks of our squad.
Good to see a goal from our newest youngster also.

Good luck with your season Guillaume

        Managers Website reaction

It's always tricky coming in to these ties against clubs from another division, realistically they have no pressure and they can just go for it, where as for our season i feel it was important we found ourselves in the draw for the next round. Thankfully the lads came ready and willing to put in a shift tonight and performed for the fans on our first home game of the season. Guillaume is no mug and has been around for a long time now so it was never going to be easy but in the end we got the job done with very little loss in terms of injuries and suspensions. I was please for Johanns today, he has come in during the pre season, put his head down and really given us his best efforts and tonight he was rewarded for all his hard work with a goal.

Pedraza has also been in the media lately as a player we are looking to move on and i can put these rumours to bed, He is our player and he will be staying with us for the season and tonight he proved why he is important to this squad. lastly it was great for Mo salah to score again and continue his impressive start to the season and I think it was even better for him to get his first goal in front of our home fans, his partnership with Sonny is already there and i know Sonny will get his first goal very soon.

          Blackburn Rovers VS Everton
          5th July 2024
          3:00pm kick off
          Ewood Park

          Blackburn Rovers 1-0 Everton

          Blackburn Rovers 1-0 Everton

It wasn't pretty, but it will do. 3 points is the most important thing for our season and I don't care how we get them. Our winning goal came from an unlikely source but we're going to need those slices of luck as the season goes on. Another clean sheet is pleasing but we're gonna have to be tighter at the back than we were as conceding 15 shots to a better side will see us on the end of a hockey score.

          Good luck Dave

          Managers Website reaction

It was a great performance from the lads that just lacked more goals, but in our position it is the points that are more important and I don't care how we get them. We got another clean sheet to boot so it was another perfect fixture in my eyes. The games are thick and fast in this league and we have to be ready so it is important we keep all our players fit and ready to go. We said goodbye to Youri Tielemans today who will be missed but in return we welcome in an experienced leader who can help us defensively and hopefully bring on more clean sheets for the season.

          Thank you.

            Arsenal VS Blackburn Rovers
            8th July 2024
            3:00pm kick off
            The Emirates Stadium

            Arsenal 3-0 Blackburn Rovers

A very bad day at the office, stats wise we were never out of the game but our opponents were a lot more clinical than we were and put us to the sword. It was never going to be an easy game but i feel we made it easy for Arsenal today and they go home happy. We will have to be alot stronger than this moving forward and we will definitely be.

            Congratulations Darren and good luck.

            Managers website reaction:

Yeah look, i have to take full responsibility for this result. I probably got my tactics and team selection wrong, and we could have approached it differently, but we were never out of the game, we were just wasteful on the day and didn't take our opportunities when they came, and we let our opponents score some easy goals and we failed to take advantage when they went down to ten men. It gives us something to work on in training and reassess for the future. It's a disappointing result but their won't be many sides that come here and take points, Arsenal are a good side with a great manager, so we have to make sure we quickly forget this result and look forward to the next.

We have been very slack with our media but here is a run down from the last few games since our Arsenal game.

We travelled to Manchester for round 4 and took on giants Manchester City, We held our own as we sat back and held our formation well but we didn't offer very much going forward and unfortunately we were eventually broken down by man city in the 77th minute thanks to a goal from Vlahovic and we offered very little fight back to earn a point ending the game with a 1 nil win for the home side and 18 shots to 4.

Round 5 saw us entertain Welsh side Cardiff city back in front of our fans but just after the half hour mark our home crowd was silenced as German Mario Götze scored for the away side.
It wasn't until the hour mark when club captain Mo Salah pulled the home side level and despite some huffing and puffing, we couldn't break down the resilient Cardiff in a game that slipped from our hands as we shared the points.

Round 6 saw a trip to Leicester and gave us the worst possible start with Simeone putting the home side ahead after just 6 minutes, not an ideal situation to be in. Heads didnt drop and Rovers were soon back in the tie again with Ayling popping up for another goal to bring us level. After the break it was a slow start from Rovers again as we conceded within 3 minutes but once more kept our heads high, played the way we can and got level through our captain once again Mo salah to share the spoils again.

Round 7 saw a return to Ewood park and a visit from tottenham hotspur and things started well for the home side with Leroy Sane getting his first goal of the season to put the home side ahead but after the break Rovers got complacent and allowed Williams, Bergwijn and Bailey to fire the away side to three points.

Well, the season has ended and it wasn’t the worst season that could’ve happened for Blackburn Rovers But let’s take a look at the season finish and play by player round up of the team and our future plans

Finish in a respectable ninth place whilst at the same time Amassing the highest tally of points in the last five years beating the 53 points set by previous managers also missing out with Champions League spots by one point. The club will be disappointed with some of the points that they did throughout the season especially season that stole them being the second highest team for most drawers and also being this team with the least amount of losses in the whole season it’s a bright future club looking to push and push themselves even higher up the table.

let’s start with the goalkeeper, courtois. The keeper came under a lot of stick throughout the season as every time he rated up he would concede two or three and rate back down again. It was like this for the second half of the season and we never ever had any consistency with him. As a result of this the Belgian has found himself on the market and the club are accepting offers for him.

Next up is Starfelt. The ageing Swedish defender was arguably one of the best players for the Rovers this season And despite his aged proved his present in the team appearing 46 times will likely retain his place at the club next season. Will write down to 22 rated quickly up to 23 rated and be a Star for the club next year.

Aguerd Joined the club midway through the first half of the season and became an absolute rocket the back for the club and a very strong season chipping in with nine goals and was our top scorer in defence performing 59 tackles, and two assists. It will likely have done enough to secure his spot in the team next season as well.

cresswell is our oldest defender but still shows he has a lot to offer to the club and will keep his stats for next season despite his age. The club will probably looking to keep him for next season and use him as in in rotation with any new purchases that may come during the off-season. A sale isn’t ruled out as the manager may look to reduce the age under 30 for the whole squad, but we’ve had no word from the hierarchy yet.

le Normand The newest of our defenders who is in the prime of his career will keep his spot in the team next season. Close to becoming a 2216 expect to see the defender present in the team. Next season is Blackburn look to continue to be strong at the back.

bansebaini It’s probably defender who looks most likely to leave as much strong defender but would be considered surplus to requirements as Blackburn may look to strengthen at the back to build on their season that they’ve just had and move forward becoming highly to beat next season. The club is currently inviting offers for the defender.

nabik fekir Who joined the club quite late in the season and took awhile to get going before firing in his first two goals for the club on the last game of the season. The manager will be hoping he can take that into next season and the team forward with his 23 19 stats opportunity for him to lead the team next season. At this stage, the midfield that is not for sale

kalvin Phillips Was Chase by the manager for a few weeks before signing from Manchester United?. Bringing in a huge transfer fee to player started strong and continue to be a rock before eventually rating up in midfield to become a 22 18 midfielder I will prove to be a vital part of a very strong midfield for Blackburn next season as they look to build on this season

fabian Ruiz Destined to move on this off-season as he has been told in a meeting when closed doubles with his agent to start looking for a new club. He didn’t offer much to the club in the final games of the season and the manager De surplus to requirements and is inviting offers on the defensive midfielder from teams around Europe

mason mount didn’t get the game time required to set anything straight but it’s a great asset to have on the team and maybe used as counterweight as it stands. Mount is set to keep his place in the team and help build a strong midfield next season for Blackburn Rovers however, unless an offer is too good to turn down.

Heung min son Has just signed a contract extension for another one year and will remain at the club next season to lead the Line and try and build on his 19 goals this season Blackburn goals this season and they will be looking to bring in a new partner for son so the club can fire themselves further up the building strong defence.

savio Was signing from the auction and the youngster will attract lots of interest during the off-season however the interest will go unnoticed as a deal has been struck which will see the player leave for English side Leeds united.

sane Will return to the club next season after leaving to play in Europe before returning back to England and now our return is back on the cards to Blackburn Rovers where the German midfielder is to Lace his Boots and fire Blackburn Rovers into Champions League decisions season

Joining the gym in midfielder at the club is Nigerian striker Victor osimhen Who will join the Blackburn Rovers from Leeds United in the preseason as well set to partner son upfront the club have already secured two very top strikers Will partnership that can be very strong moving into next season.

                Ayres thoughts.

Whilst we are disappointed not to make the Champions League classes this year we have moved forward as a club and also set us up next season to move forward even more. We had some new huge moments at the club this year but we also had some silly mistakes where we drop points that we should’ve done and we are very disappointed not to go further in the European competition and domestic cups, So we already have three targets to work towards next season and we have already done some early business for the preseason transfer market so there is a lot to look forward to when you were a Blackburn Rovers fan.
