HINCAPIE HAS COME UNDER CRITISISM FROM HIS MANAGER
MANCHESTER UNITED MANAGER STEVE OUTTEN HAS CRITICISED YOUNG DEFENDER PIERO HINCAPIE FOLLOWING UNITEDS DRAW WITH SHEFFIELD WENDESDAY. UNITED DREW AT HILLSBOROUGH AND NOW SIT 5 POINTS BEHIND LEADERS MANCHESTER CITY. HINCAPIE SIGNED FOR UNITED LAST MID SEASON AUCTION FOR £190,00,000.
It was a shrew but to some contentious signing at the first reverse auction when United signed the player seen as a long term recruit. The Ecuadorian faces competition from De Ligt, Cancelo, Pedro Porro and "the butcher" Lisandro Martinez in defence and has had to bide his time, often utilised as a rotation and back up player. However, recently manager Steve Outten has aimed a swipe at the young player in his post match comments on Monday.
"It's a poor run of form we're on, we face Arsenal in Europe next and we need to do better, the pleasing is Gordon has shown his level after 1 game, with some positive shooting but I think we might have to move on a certain someone, who looks to be out of his depth at times. Maybe if he'll come good soon he might do better, but when we've need him our results have dropped."

"His numbers don't come close to the other in the team. Yes we know he's not played as many minutes, we get that but we demand more from a player with his potential. We invested big in him and simply out we want a return from him. He has to do more for us, it's simple. He needs to start showing he's a United player sooner rather than later"
Whilst being critical of one player, Outten did heap praise on one player in his rare interview, saying Ansu Fati lead by example in his with as captain. The young Spaniard sits on 19 goals so far and is well oncourse to reach the 30 goal target set pre season.
"Fati has passed the armband to Karim and that was always the agreement at the start of the season. What a player he's been and showed great abilities. He's shown great character and keeps developing still. We set the two strikers a 30 goal target and we're very pleased with their returns so far. Ansu has been excellent this campaign."
