With the 3rd league game of the season on the horizon, news breaking out of Turin is that Juventus manager Andy Banks has been given a vote of confidence by the club board.
Back to back league defeats sees the club sit 15th in the league after two games and searching for inspiration.
First a home defeat to AC Milan followed by a away defeat at the hands of Sporting Lisbon have given Juventus their worst start to a season in history.
A 3-0 victory over Galatasaray in the EFL Cup will have done little to lighten the mood in that part of Italy as Juventus were expected to steamroll their 3rd tier opponents as they fielded an almost full strength line up for the tie.
A spokesman within Juventus had the following to say on the matter;
‘Obviously this isn’t the start we’d hoped for considering the investments that the club made in the summer.
We do still believe in Banks but both us and he now understand where both parties stand on this matter and should we need to, we’ll make the changes to make sure this club moves forwards.
We face Lazio tonight and we’ll be hoping that the turn around starts there!’
