  • I wanna know, have you ever seen Les Rennes

In this new feature we follow and review the latest updates from the Stade Rennais social media team.

With the arrival of new manager Drew Hill it has been a busy week for the media boys.

    Hill's at the wheel
Drew Hill was unveiled this week at Roazhon Park and on social media images we released pictures of the Welshman making himself at home in his new office.
Not too much like home though we imagine. We can't see his laptop screen but he is probably just searching for available rental apartments in Rennes right about now:

Later, Hill got some practice in at driving the team bus. Hill is at the wheel, after all.

This last image didn't go as planned and we weren't going to share it on social media but it took a lot of effort to set up this photo shoot (and the outfit was a large chunk of this season's media budget). So here goes:

I'm not sure if Hill has any pilot training, but he has all the gear (and no idea).

    Stade Rennais 3-3 Villarreal

An entertaining first game in charge at Roazhon Park. It was looking good for new manager Drew Hill as he celebrated his side going 3-1 ahead against Spanish visitors Villarreal.

But two goals in injury time changed the mood for the new boss and his coaching team

We can confirm all players and staff were safely boarded. No forgotten passports, no late arrivals loitering in the duty free.
We cannot confirm or deny whether Drew Hill was at the controls. He does have all the gear!
      See you in Austria.

Strong rumours that some of the players acted scenes from The Sound of Music in the Austrian countryside, complete with terrible singing.
No images or videos of this particular event have been secured. Yet!

          Spanish Adventure

The Stade Rennais boys are back on the road this week.

The squad have arrived in Sevilla still searching for their first league win of the season.
A large group of players and support staff travelled out to Southern Spain, including new signings Mark Travers and Tom Lees, who are expected to go straight into the matchday squad.

After a walk exploring the sights of Seville the players made sure they had enough fuel on board for the match with a trip a riverside Tapas bar.

Later the real work began as the squad hit the training pitch eager to work towards a first league win of the campaign in this evening's match.

Editor's note: Clearly this is not the team on the training pitch, but they're having a good time and we can't remove the picture, so here they are one more time stuffing their greedy faces!
