The close season is drawing to a close, so let's take a look at how Fiorentina are shaping up for the new season.
Squad changes -
There hasn't been a massive overhaul of the squad inherited from PSV last season, rather just some tweaks to reflect the growing emphasis away from older players to a younger squad.

The first signing of pre-season saw talented Spanish youngster Camus join the purple ones. He signed in from Valencia, and will be a regular starter in midfielder. Going the other way was 29 year old Klaassen ,who's days were numbered when his signing was blamed for the end of season slump last year.

Young Brazilian defender Morato was a later signing, joining from Benfica for Digne and 25m. The reasons behind losing the side's top defender was again given as the move toward youth. Though the manager has never forgotten Digne used to play for Everton too.
Digne thought he might have to stay, before a late deal was agreed.
And that's about it for new arrivals, bar a couple of 14 rated squaddies. A pretty quiet pre-season so far.
However, striker Moura has also been sold, leaving Nunez and Malen as the front two. This does however give the manager a little money to work with to bring someone new in. No doubt a pop at the auction will be made, but no biggie if nothing comes of it. There will no doubt be some more players available after the auction, including the possibility of bringing in a loan player.
As it stands the side are probably light on either an attacking midfielder or striker than can pull back to play in that role.
Predictions -
A more detailed look at the opposition in EF2 will come after the squad update, but as it stands Seville look to be clear favourites, with Fiorentina possibly next. However, the influx of top class experienced managers into the division means that anything is possible!
