It has been a relatively quiet close season so far for Atletico Madrid but new players have arrived and some have departed.
Atletico's main changes have been in defence. Signed from Ac Milan is long term target M_Skriniar who is an upgrade both tackling and passing on the man he has replaced - Romagnoli. Dumfries left the club with Lindeloff arriving but sooner did Lindeloff arrive he was sent packing to Ac Milan which saw Angelino join the club.
Manager Simon Marsh commented "When I arrived one of the weaknesses at the club was the defenders passing skills. We are slowly improving here and our main 4 defenders are now 17, 16, 16, 16 which is a big upgrade from where we were. It is still a long way off other clubs but it is now competitive at least. We will be strong in tackling skills next season".
Rumours surfacing from the club suggest Angelino may well be also heading out of the club after only a couple of days training.
Another player joining is American B_Bronico who will add some squad strength to the defence next season.
Strong rumours have linked Bournemouth youngster Kilkenny to the club but the dotted line is yet to be signed.
