new luton manager has spoke about his return to ffo and taking over at luton . i dont know why i am back to be honest cause my last stint on here didnt go very well and i keep saying i am not good enough but yet still apply for jobs even though i didnt apply for this job it was well given to me . the fans are not happy with my appointment saying why have you come here what have you acheived in the world of esms , which i agree with but its better then the job not having a manager or is it . i dont have a bad squad which i need to improve on and i have already done a transfer already doing a swap deal and some much needed funds to the club , i will talk about that later on . my aim in my 1st season is the try and bring the age of my team down and build up a young squad that i can develop , but also staying in the championship . i want to prove to everyone including myself that i have what i takes to actually win something or do better then i expect . and with the transfer window opening soon i am hoping to bring top addtions to the side so we can finish in the top half of the table . i have a certain way i want to play and will stick with it even when going through a bad spell , i dont want to keep chopping and changing formations every game i want to get as many points as i can but we will see what happens i nthe transfer window and i nthe auction

THE luton manager has been busy in preseason trying to strengthen his team and has brought in quite a few players in such as m thuram
G_Alvarez and
G_Veiga just to name 3 and we played our 1st preseason game in our very tough group were the teams are
arsenal schalke and celtic so clearly we are the underdogs in this group but its just about giving my players some game time and finding the right formation so up 1st we played

CELTIC
AND THE SCORE WAS

Celtic 4 - 2 Luton Town

were we had thuram score on his debut and anderson also scoring but celtic were to strong for us but at least we give it a go and scored a couple of goals

next up we face schalke were i will rotate my team gives other chance to get some game time and impress me

so next up the this pre season cup was schalke so lets see how we got on


Schalke 3 - 0 Luton Town -

so another defeat this time 3 0 as i rotated my team again this this team was much weaker so we ddnt have enough to cause the other teams any problems , but i never expected to win this game anyway . it was just a chance for me to see who impresses me and who doesnt . up next we face another easy game this time arsenal as we test oursleves against another top team , and again i will rotate my team in fact i will pick my strongest team and see if we can actually compete against them .

so game 3 end in another defeat so its 3 played no wins not a very good pre season but its all about learning if my players are up for the challenge and so far they have failed , but we did play 3 top teams so i can,t really judge until the season starts . so is it my players not good enough or is it the formation not working or is it the manager we shall find out once the season starts but for now i have another pre season game to play

this is my best performance to date despite conceding 3 goals we was superb and deserved to win . looking at the game we went 3 1 down after only 14 minutes and i thought great another defeat but my players had other ideas . we managed to pull a goal back in the 17th minute through rodrigo then bradley took over . he drew us level i nthe 33rd minute then to my delighted scored again in the 72nd minute to win the game for us 4 3 . so what a superb fightback from my team and superb character and fighiting spirit and thats what i want from my team i know its only pre season but i want to see what my players acan do and well they have shown me what they can do . so after this win we now face everton another tough game can we win this game who knows but lets try give everton a game at least

Everton win the penalty shootout!

DESPITE going out to everton i am pleased with the performance of my players making everton go all the way to pens after we drew level right at the death in a dramatic leveller . we then forced them to go to pens and then we was poor at pens missing 2 well pickford saving 2 but it was good run out for us as we prepare for the season ahead . so i know what i need now going forward and thats probably a striker a top striker and with limited funds it will have to be a lona deal if i can get 1
