    Champions League Group Game Four - Man Utd 1 - 1 Arsenal

    Not the result that either Manager wanted here but it will be Arsenal that will no doubt feel the happiest after walking away with a point from a game that they really deserve despite leading for such a large part of the game through the in form Giminez but let the lead slip with one of the last kicks of the game through former player Asprilla who moved to Utd some months ago.

    The Arsenal boss spoke to the media after the game ;

    " Fortunate to take a point from this one at the end of the day but to lose a lead so late in the game is poor from us and I do expect better from the players. On the face of it, not the result either side wanted but after playing them three times in about tend days, a win, loss and a draw it is to be.

    Two games left in the group now and we need a big result against Madrid next to keep the pressure on them an keep our hopes of making the knockout stage once again ".

    Premiership Round Sixteen - Blackburn Rovers 1 - 1 Arsenal

    Another game in which Arsenal were far from at the races but somehow managed to avoid defeat by taking a point, this time away at Ewood Park against Blackburn Rovers. Yet again it was Arsenal that took the lad through Timo Werner but a leaky defence yet again allowed the lead to slip and Rovers get back level. It was then a case of Arsenal holding on as best as they could whch they managed to and a point away at in form Rovers was the end result.

    The Arsenal boss spoke after the game ;

    " We knew it was going to be a tough game. They have been superb this season and although we came up a bit short in terms of performance, its still a good point on the road against an in form side but we need to work on not giving away leads so easily, we get in front but cant seem to go and get that second goal right now but we still sit in a sensible position and will hopefully get it right sooner rather than later ".

      Premiership Round Seventeen - Arsenal 1 - 1 Cardiff City

      A frustrating day at the office saw Arsenal held to yet another draw in a fixture that they really should be picking up three points in. Despite a much better performance from The Gunners. it was the visitors who silenced the crowd by taking the led and making it hard for Arsenal to get back into it but a Michael Olise strike on the hour mark rescued a point for the home side to make it another draw which is not god enough as the Arsenal boss said afterwards ;

      " We played well enough today and should we have won it ? Well we were the better side but they really made it hard for us and we just struggled. Thankfully we got level and with the way we set up I was hopeful that we could have gone on to win but it wasn't possible so another draw it is ".

      Right now we just dont seem to be firing on all cylinders so something is adrift somewhere which we will keep plugging away to find a solution ".

        Champions League Group Game Five - Arsenal 1 - 0 Real Madrid

        After the draw against Man Utd in the last game, this was a huge game for Arsenal against Real Madrid who had already booked their place in the next round but Arsenal certainly pulled a performance and result out the bag. It wont go down as a classic for sure but it was all about the three points that keeps the club in second place in group B going into the final group game against Bayern Munich. Another goal from Giminez secured the win in the game which saw just six shots on target between both sides which is not good enough but it was the result the Arsenal boss was delighted about as he said after the game ;

        " This was make or break really for us in the competition. Thankfully we got a fantastic result that was far from an exciting game but to get the win was what we set out to do. The group has been up there with the hardest ones drawn and we go into the last game with a great chance of making it through so overall very pleasing ".

          Premiership Round Eighteen - Wolves 1 - 1 Arsenal

          Fresh from the European win over Real Madrid, it was back to domestic action and back the draws yet again for Arsenal as they were held yet again to a team that on paper they should be getting maximum points from. Once again, a poor performance by Arsenal that saw them ceate just three shots on target yet again with one finding the net from Defender Raum after going behind once again. You can look at it s a point away which is never to be sniffed at but performance wise it was poor by the Gunners who find themselves now five straight daws and many points dropped in their quest to keep the pressure on the sides above but the last five or six games have been far from acceptable.

          The Arsenal boss spoke after the game ;

          " We could be sat here talking about a defeat so to have avoided that is the only real plus I can see right now. Its up to me to put this right and we will keep going ".

          Meanwhile, many rumours before kick off had been circulating that the club had agreed a deal to sign Real Madrid frontman Lautaro Martinez after the club had been in talks during the day and as the Manager left Molineux to board the coach back to London, claimed that he thought the deal was done but speaking to the Arsenal Chairman, it turned out to be a different story and the player moved elsewhere after Real Madrid reportedly went back on their word regarding the deadline set. The Chairman had this to say ;

          "Its disappointing to lose a player after bidding for so long but its part of the game but what shouldn't be is going back on what's said. We were under the impression that a deal would be concluded by the end of that night as that's what Real publicly said, our bid was leading until we woke up to see the deadline had in fact been moved to later that day after bids came in during the night and after the supposed deadline so yeah frustrating but we move on and know just how things can change over the case of a million or two FFO funds ".

            Premiership Round Nineteen - Arsenal 1 - 0 Leicester City

            After five straight draws, Arsenal finally saw a win with a one nil win at home to Leicester City thanks to another goal from Giminez who really is starting to find some form since his move from Juventus earlier in the season. A slightly better performance by the home side yet far from what fans will be expecting but none the less, a win and a clean sheet will be just the ticket ahead of their final Champions League group game in which they need to win.

            The Arsenal boss spoke after the game ;

            " Its started to reach the point where we wonder what we have to do to get a win after five draws but today was a result we really needed as we reach the halfway point of the season. The performance was a lot better but still far from what we can do but I think its best we just appreciate the win and another goal from Giminez who is having a great season for us now.

            We sit in fourth place but have lost so much ground on the sides occupying the top spots after the run of draws so we will be looking to try and claw our way back and close the gap as soon as possible ".

              Champions League Group Game Six - Bayern Munich 1 - 1 Arsenal

              The message before was simple, win and the Gunners make it through and beat Bayern Munich to second place who went into the game neck and neck with Arsenal on the same points and same goal difference. Arsenal have enjoyed their share of draws in recent weeks so its shock to see the result end and a 1-1 draw which does see Arsenal make it through on the head to head ruling with Bayern after both sides end up on the same points and goal difference, something not seen very often.

              It was Bayern who seemed more up for the game than Arsenal but one thing that is visible for everyone is that they have their defence to thank for the draws as they have not played very well infact been second best in most of them games. Timo Werner did put the Gunners in front against the run of play but we pegged back soon after by the home side but despite their best efforts, neither side could get the winner and with the score standing at one a piece, it was Arsenal who make it through.

              The Arsenal boss spoke after the game ;

              " Delighted to make it through what was definitely one of the toughest groups but its very harsh on Bayern to get knocked out that way. I don't ever recall it going down to the wire like this and have to be decided like this but we are just pleased to get our heads in the daw for the knockout phase ".

                Premiership Round Twenty - Sheffield United 1 - 1 Arsenal

                The Gunners will no doubt look back at this season once the curtain closes and reflect on this period of results which has seen them only manage one win in eight with the other seven ending in draws. In plenty of the games though they only have themselves to blame for being under par in their performance but today will be one of the most frustrating results the club has seen for some time. Despite dominating the game from start to finish, they had to come from behind yet again to earn a share of the points thanks to a goal from Timo Werner which proved to be his last for the club.

                The Arsenal boss spoke after the game ;

                " Its no secret its a very frustrating period for the club both on and off the field and right now we have no idea how the future holds for my stay at the club but we keep pushing on trying to turn this run around which right now looks unlikely. We couldn't have done anymore today and looking at the stats, how on earth did that game end a draw. Credit to them though but we should be doing better and for reasons we don't know, we aren't "

                  Premiership Round Twenty One - Arsenal 4 - 2 Burnley

                  Arsenal were celebrating a rare win after the round twenty one clash with Burnley but the Manager has insisted that he wont get carried away. The game saw three new players included in the Arsenal side after a busy week in the market and it was a debut goal from Rasmus Hojlund along with strikes from Thuram, Giminez and Saka that got a much needed win for the home side.

                  The Arsenal boss although happy from the result, is still insists that the run of draws is going to be hard to pull back now as the club enters the second half of the season ;

                  " A great win and performance today from the players but we are just playing catch-up now which isn't an easy task when you look t the sides above us who are flying right now. Certainly the biggest run of draws Ive seen in my time in FFO and one I hope isn't around too often. We have made some changes to the squad and I do expect that their could be some more on the horizon but for now, we can be happy with the result but we won be singing from the hills just yet ".
