Sheffield United Caretakers Diary Ch X. “My soul cries out for rest, but there is no end in sight”--Amazing Rhythm Aces
Rebuilding is fun. Losing is not. Losing in the name is rebuilding is...hell, I don’t know. I just know that watching the Abs of the new kids makes me a little better when I look at the table. But looking at table makes me cringe. Hey, at least Ant is happy. While Palladino hasn’t got a lot of goals, he has made a lot of shots. I think I’ve put him in the correct place in the lineup. I wonder if he’ll sell him EOS….
For the first 7 rounds, I’ve just tried to get the players that must stay a healthy portion of minutes. I’ve done one scan if minute tracker spreadsheet. (gotta automate that) and everyone I want to keep is has played a reasonable amount of minutes. This weekend I’ll check minutes and see what adjustments need to be made. I also need to spend some time on tactics. I feel like we are fading at the end of a match, even through we getting our substitutions made. The Blades have fought a couple of the top six club to close losses, but I’d like to win some of these matches in the bottom half of the table. I also need to edit team sheets. I quit using Teamsheet creator this season, and JB has paid the price. Palladino. Ugly. Mea Culpa JB. Gotta get better at that.
I’m still assuming SU will get relegated while trying to prevent that. I’m only 4 points behind the drop zone. Hey, it could happen! I refuse to play bad tactics and intentional lose to get relegated. No transfers planned until EOS, I’m hoarding cash for the next owner. If I’m still in charge at EOS, there may have to be a couple of SHN buys to keep the roster health. I hope that new manager shows up soon. Cheers.
