Good Evening,
We’ve had a pretty good start with a first round draw and a cup win. Both of the matches were decided at the end, and we’ll be working on stiffening up the defense in the final third of the game. We happy that we’ve got now injuries or suspension. I’ll now take a couple of questions.
Reporter 1: What would you say Salzburg’s strengths are after the first two matches?
Thacker: I’d say the forward unit. Nene, Koita, and Pasnik have all scored. They are working well together and I think that is sign of good things to come.
Reporter 2: Are you worried about the letdown at the Lazio match.
Thacker: No, not really, I think it was part of it was conditioning and part was a tactic change that we didn’t pick up. We possessed the ball 59% of the time, so our defenders were doing well for most of the match. We need to figure out how to keep that attitude for 90 minutes, not just 88.
Reporter 3: We played the same starting lineup for both games. Is the lineup set for the long-haul?
Thacker: (Chuckling) Oh, I wouldn’t say so. We were pretty easy to scout last season, and I think it hurt us in the second half. I would definitely like be harder to read.
Thank you for your questions.
