    Premiership Round One - Arsenal 2 - 1 Sheffield United

    A winning start for Arsenal in a fixture that we really do need to be getting all three points from and we did just that to kick our season off. In seasons gon by we have struggled to get past the newly promoted sides or so called ' winnable ' games although we did make hard work of this one despite us being the better of the two sides.

    Michael Olise getting his first of the season and a debut goal for Luiz Fellipe got us the three points but it should have been by more after producing seventeen shots on goal but credit to Sheffield United, they didn't come to the Emirates to just sit back and their defence kept us at bay for a large part of the game

    All in all, a good result to start the season off.

    Arsenal Agree Double Deal With New Juventus Boss

    News coming out of the red side of North London this morning is that a deal has been agreed with Juventus which will see both Joe Gomez and Marcus Rashford leave the club and head to Italy. Since the change in management at Juve, talks have been taking place for both Gomez and Rashford who have been seen as key players to push the club on make a firm title challenge under the guidance of new Manager Tony Ayre.

    Arriving at the Emirates will be former Arsenal Defender Joško Gvardiol and Striker Santiago Gimenez. Fans will be fully aware of the quality of Gimenez after being heavily linked with the twenty five year old over the last couple of months and it was highly expected that he would have joined the club some weeks ago but rumours suggesting that Juventus and the previous management tried to change the fee which eventually halted the deal resulting in the public fallout between the two sides and they will also know the ability of Gvardiol after seeing him at the cub some seasons ago before he moved to Italy so will be delighted to have him back ;

    Code:
    J_Gvardiol 24 cro 1 22 19 9 25 1 15 14 116

    S_Gimenez 25 mex 1 4 19 23 28 1 618 419 235
    The Arsenal boss spoke to the media this morning ;

    " The deal is all done and agreed now and one that I'm not sure I expected to see but Tony has taken over and identified the players as targets to make his mark on his new side. I'm pleased with it. We were all set to sign Santiago Gimenez some weeks ago and to have the deal collapse was disappointing but its all worked out well in the end and although we lose two very good players, we get two back plus a fee which will be used to put back into the playing side as and when we are able too ".

      Premiership Round Two - Burnley 1 - 3 Arsenal

      Any sort of result away from home be it a point or a win is always a good return but we come back to North London will three to kick the season off with back to back wins.

      At half time we looked to be in full control of the game leading two nil thanks to an own goal from our former Balde and a goal from Marcus Rashford in his second and last appearance for the club and then the game was capped off in the second half when Bakayo Saka scored the third and final goal for us. Burnley did get one late on but the game was over by that point.

      Pleased to get the win against Burnley especially away from home.

      We say goodbye to Gomez and Rashford this weekend as they depart for Juventus but we look forward to the new players arriving.

        Premiership Round Three - Arsenal 3 - 4 Bristol City

        We have to reflect on this as a very poor result from a game we really should be getting maximum points from. Take nothing away from Bristol City, they were the better of the two sides on the day and we got what we deserved which was nothing.

        We were far from at the races in this one and at 3-1 down, we were second best and despite the fightback, City took the win in a game we need to put behind us and focus on the next. Pleased to see Michael Olise get another two to his tally but in all fairness, that was about as good as it got for us in this.
