Well here we are! We’re promoted! We’re down five players! It’s time start figuring out the day after. The Blades have a roster of 18. The average age of those players is still 29.7, so no improvement there. My new academy graduates give me two strikers that will be decent in a season or two and one AM at the same level. That will rejuvenate the roster a bit. These three players are definitely going to get battlefield promotions. I’m expecting that three of them will play over 2000 minutes so they can get some Abs.
Getting promoted isn’t nearly as lucrative as I was hoping. The Blades will not be able to buy a scout. At this point it looks like the best they can do is buy one academy player and spend the rest to get the roster up to 23. Where’s a rich Saudi prince when you need one. Hell, even the Glaser might be welcome. I’m looking for loans to fill in the gaps, we’ll see how that works out. Until then, Blades out.
