    Salzburg Press Conference

Good Evening. Our final game of the season was yet another draw. This was our 12th, putting us in second place. Only Schalke has more. I’ll do a full recap of the season after the FLT cup, but I will as some questions now.

Reporter 1: How is the health of the team?

Thacker: We have the usual aches and pains that are accumulate after a full season, but everyone is available for the Final. All suspension have been served.

Reporter 2: Is the squad still confident about the final?
Thacker: Definitely! Making a cup run is rare thing, and our players are excited to take this all the way. Even though we did not have a great season, we can still grab some silverware, and all of those players want it.

Reporter 3: Academy promotions are starting across the leagues. You’ve said that Givens will stay at the Academy, what about Ruiz?
Thacker: Ruiz is also staying. I have a certain level I want him to be before I pull him into the main squad, and it make take two seasons to for him to get there. I’ve talked to him several times, alone and with Givens. I have told them that I need them to both sharpen their skill but show leadership for the other players. They know that our rebuild is underway, the team is getting stronger, and when one or two seasons they will be ready to take on the best of EFL2. Then they will get their wiings! Sorry I to keep the sponsor happy.

Reporter 4: Do you continue working with Sheffield United?
Thacker: Yes, our holding is OK with me working as interim manager for them. The day they fill the job, is the day I am back full time with Salzburg. Their roster situation is very different and it’s made me grateful for Salzburg squad. (Yelling) Did you hear that Noah!

Reporter 5: I know you’re not going to talk at length but in a couple of words, what do you want improve next year?
Thacker: Scoring. Turn 1/3 of those draws to wins, that 8 points, and we are mid table. More to come…..

Reporter 1: Do you anticipate any major roster changes.
Thacker: No. Every single Salzburg player was offered a contract next season. And do you really think I’d bring that up before a final?

Reporter3: Do you think the roster could expand?
Thacker: Yes, I’d love to have a couple of more chess pieces, loaning in a player is always a possibility. Ideally, had like to be able to support 25 players. That’s why we are asking for another expansion. An academy expansion is also high on the list.

Reporter 2. Last year at this time Fernando was unhappy about his playing time. Have you talked about that with him? He has had fewer minutes this season?
Thacker: Yes, He knows that with the addition of Tyler Pasnik, he was going to get fewer minutes. He has accepted his role. And he will continue to substitute.

Thank You, talk to you after the Final
