Salzburg Player Development director Wateh Fooker announced today that Salzburg Academy student Shay Given will not be joining the main club for next season. “We think that Shay would be better off with another year of intensive training before we move him up. He has the look of an excellent keeper, but we think he could be starter with a some more work.”. Salzburg insiders told this correspondent that Noah Atubolu is unlike to moved aside at any point next season. “Given is is not going to get any minutes or experience next season and Salzburg doesn’t have to sell him to stay financially healthy. Next season? Who knows.”
