Sparta went one nil up in the 10th minute when L Sadilek pass splits open the defence, and from a cross from the wing Sparta forward E Ponce scored with
a Powerful downward header.

A boring first half with no score, both teams did ok and had some chances but could not find the opener.
Sparta started strong and passed the ball around nice just missing the cutting edge upfront.
Sparta went one nil up in the 52th minute when L Sadilek drives it forward to E Ponce, E Ponce beats the defender to the ball and heads it into his path
He nutmegs N Atubolu what a goal, the away fans go crazy
Red Bull Salzburg level it up in the 58th minute when forward O Solet puts it past N Schiks for the equaliser
the game was on a knife edge now both team looking good, with plenty of chances
But in the 73rd minute Sparta forward E Ponce sees N Atubolu off his line chips the ball over him what a goal, Sparta back in front.
the rest of the half was quite and not much happened, both teams had a few chances but Sparta defended well and got the victory. a nice three points on the road
A very nice victory on the road, fans will be happy on the bus ride home, they will be singing Mr Brennans name and he will be thinking the code is gone.

Sparta Prague up to date for end of season,

I'll start with cups as i didn't really say anything about them previously,
We only won two game and then lost in the next round of the FLT cup and the same with the other cup. next season i will put a bit more
effort in to these i think, i can see the benefit of the cup games gate fees.

I only got to game 23 with my updated this season so here is the league update for the remaining league campaign
We had some good result and some terrible ones. we had a good run of five wins and a draw at one point.
I slowly moved up the league table after the code had held us back for most of the first half of the season.

I was up to 5th in the league after this great run of form, So then I decided to try bring in some quality players for a top four push
Looking back this was a mistake haha, results didn't go my way. I blame the code.

Below I look back on the transfer deals i made to push for top four spot
I went in to the transfer market and brought in a few big players with some big transfer fees and wages, we went all out.

First we have N Schiks who cost 50 million pounds from the spot auctions, He was an upgrade on our goalkeeper and at 19 years
old a star of the future. this was a good signing and was a big fee as a lot of other mangers were in the bidding for him.
probable paid over the odds for him but i really wanted a young better keeper.
We sold our old goalkeeper A Brignoli to the free List for 20 million pound to get some cash bank in the bank.
A Brignoli was doing very well for us and he was getting good gains and was the club caption for the first half of the season.
If i dint have the 50 million I would have been happy to go with A Brignoli for the rest of the season, I enjoyed the spot auctions not sure admins did haha

Next up we looked to add some quality to the defence, where i felt we could easily improve
so we went big S Coates came in from Juventus for 29 million pounds, this lad was an oldie but a Goldie.
Only 1 million over his Sell him now so worth the risk to get that top 4 spot or sell for a slight loss if it didn't work out.
I saw him as a big improvement on what we had his wages were also very big, a risk for Sparta.
we wanted to get some cash back in so in defence we let go of A Wisdom to Atalanta for 21 million pound, 1 million above Sell him now price

In midfield we brought in an amazing attacking midfielder, Midfield was an area we were ok in but he was to good not to take a chance on.
Susa came in from Blackburn Rover for 45 million pounds, what a player 20 passing 19 shooting a real star player. this is the lad i was most excited for
This was the big one, big fee big wages. I thought he would be the last piece of the jigsaw and create and score to push us into the top 4.
To balance the books here we sold forward P Musa to Stockport County 20 million pounds. P Musa was a player i felt we could do without.

So this was a big investment for me and Sparta Prague.
On incomings we spent 124 million pounds
On outgoing we recouped 61 million pounds
So an outlay of 63 million pounds, This was most of the Sparta transfer kitty and with majorly increased wages we were put the future of the team at risk.

So off we went into our next few games with the team improved all over, The push for the top four was on. When i submitted my first team sheet with S Coates and Susa
in the starting 11 I was so excited to see the game report.

Then Bang, defeat after defeat we couldn't buy a win, all the big name players were doing of but the results were not good,
We dropped down the league table like a lead weight. we couldn't even get a draw at home to weaker teams.
During this time we tried multiple formations and player positions but nothing was working, I believe these players brought back the code and we could not shake it.
as they say the league table never lies and we were not going to make top four after this terrible run.
So after a few weeks I gave up on top four, I decide to sell all these big players and reduce wages and get ready for next season.

we started with the sale of our Star attaching midfielder, Susa was sold to Stockport County for 44 million pounds a loss of 1 million.
Susa was doing ok had a few man of the match performance but didn't create or score enough. he was a player i was thinking of keeping at 29 was an ok age.
but his wages made me sell.
Next was old gold defender S Coates we sold him to the Free List for 25.5 million pounds a loss of 500k

Games went on we one the odd one the lost the next.

So now we were not going for top four we made some deal to settle the team and make some money
We sold the below players to set up the team for the remainder of the season.
we sold Defender D Machado to Napoli for 16 million pounds, 30 year old 18 rated defender
we sold Midfielder L Sadilek to Napoli for 16 million pounds 28 year old 18 rated midfielder
we brougth the below old gold in as part of this deal.
Defender D Dambrosio came in from Napoli for 10 million pounds old gold here 35 year 19 rated defender
Midfielder C Aranguiz came in from Napoli for 12 million pounds old 36 year 18 rated midfielder
The idea was to get some cover in and get some cash 10 million added into the transfer kitty.

After that we looked at where we could improve the team, we looked for some swaps or deals that we could add a small bit of cash to them.

First up we put N Schiks our future star goal keeper up for sale or swap. we got a fair few offers for this lad, a few manger who had bid against us were interested.
still only 19 and 23 rated, he will rerate EOS updates for a few years, will be some player.

So for N Schiks we got the below deal.
we sold N Schiks to Birmingham City for 50 million pounds
we sold defender A Sorensen to Birmingham City for 50 million pounds
In return we brought the below in
J Griffiths came in from Birmingham City for 41.5 million pounds
J Headley came in from Birmingham City for 50 million pounds
So with this deal we lost a very good young keeper and brought in a 22 y old 23 rated, so no loss to rating but lost in age
We also let go of a 28 year old 19 rated defender and got in a 22 year old 19 rated defender no loos to rating but gained in age
added to this the 8.5 million to the bank account we felt like this was a fair deal.
Im very happy with this deal, as we have a academy goal keeper who will cover us in the future. we have lowered our age in the
defence and I could then loan out L Buchanan a 18 rated defender to get full game time, this was to try improve him ready for next season.

The next bit of transfer business was we were looking to improve the forward area or reduce the age throughout the squad.

We bought stricker L Muriel from Stockport County for 14.5 million pounds, old player but improved us up front. not to bad 500k over him sell him now price.

We then got an opportunity to improve the defence, we had saved up and with other deals made some good money for our bank account
So we tried to bring in 26 year old 20 rated defender I Zubeldia from Stockport County the deal was agreed and we were very happy to get such a good young player in.
due to his high rating we paid a lot for him, the final figure was 37.5 million pounds. This was a deal that we had the money for from all the deals before.

So then we needed to recoup some cash and still try to upgrade the forward area, we didn't need another player maybe a swap for an better player with us adding some cash
or a two for one swap, we were open for all deals.
we looked all over and when the below cam up we jumped at it. this was a nice little swap deal and then a player sale to cover some cost.
We sold our 28y old 20 rated defender F Panak to Luton Town for 30 million pounds Panak was one of our better performers in the first half of the season.
He had only just gone 20 rated in defence
We the brought in 28y old 20 forward O Idrissi from Luton Town for 30 million pounds, quality forward to help the front line, better than what we had happy with that.

We also sold forward L Muriel to Sheffield Wednesday for 15 million pounds and profit of 500k for no work. L Muriel only here a wet day but he had to go to balance the books

So we basically swapped a 28 year old 20 rated defender for a 26 year old 20 rated defender plus some outgoing cash.
We also got a better younger forward player by keeping O Idrissi over L Muriel. O Idrissi at 20 rated is our best stricker.

The last transfer deal of the year was to sell one of the oldies, we didnt really look for this and would have kept him as a squaddie next season
we got a random message that asked for one of the oldies and We sold midfielder C Aranguiz to Liverpool for 13 million pounds.
We had just bought him a few weeks before for 12 million pounds from Napoli, so a nice little profit to got to next season transfer pot.

So looking back over the transfers I see a lot of mistake I made, player value still puzzles me haha
I will be looking again next season for younger player to go strait in to the first 11. we will also move some players on, all deals again will be looked at.

looking at my sales I sold seven players to the free list see below, I probably could have held on to some of them or maybe tried to get a bit more cash for them.

I'm enjoying the game a lot and with my second season done me and Ray from wolves will get 25 million.

I will have a nice transfer kitty for the season ahead, So i wont be jumping ship next season.
