Premiership Round Twenty Two - Blackburn Rovers 3 - 1 Arsenal

Looking the game stats it does seem a bit harsh to have walked away with nothing but as Tone said, finishing proved the difference which is very disappointing from our perspective when you look at the front line we put out with fur very good players. Maybe they were all tripping over themselves to get to the ball who knows.

Another one where we sit here saying " chalk it off and move on " which seems to be the case lately. Lady luck certainly isn't our side right now.

Premiership Round Twenty Three - Arsenal 1 - 2 Aston Villa

Three defeats on the bounce now in the league which is far from acceptable which kind of sums up just where I am with the game right now. Lack of input in sheets etc but even so, we are still putting in decent performances and can count ourselves unlucky that we have nothing to show from our last three games. The league table is not good reading for us either, plummeting like a stone. On another day we would have nicked this one the same way Villa did today but it wasn't to be. We know only too well that when the ESMS gods decide its a bad run ahead for you, it really is but we just need to ride it out and hope the end of season comes as soon as where we can decide what to do. Leave, go younger and rebuild, I really dont know right now.

Champions League Quarter Final Leg One - Arsenal 2 - 2 AC Milan

A welcome break from the poor run in the domestic league for us and we reflect on yet another game that we failed to win and wondering just what we have to do to get the result the performance deserves. By no means were AC Milan poor, but we played well and to only get a draw to take to the second leg does leave a sour after taste but to be fair, the run we have been on it could quite easily had been a defeat. Timo Werner is enjoying a good run in front of goal for us right now despite the poor run which is our only real talking point right now.

Champions League Quarter Final Leg Two - AC Milan 4 - 3 Arsenal

We took a draw into the second leg and if we felt short changed after that game, then this one took the biscuit for us and cemented to where this club is at the minute. We played as well as we ever have done and going away from home, scoring three and still losing despite being the better of the sides on the day just confirms the kind of run we seem to be on which as a result, ends our Champions League quest for another season.

Another double for Timo Werner who now makes it sixteen for the season is the real talking point and a player that we only intended to keep for a season seems to be making a plea to stay on after this one but with so much up in the air right now, nothing is certain right now.

Premier League Round Twenty Four - Crystal Palace 1 - 2 Arsenal

After a few games of trying we finally pick up a much need three points but to be honest, its very harsh on Palace to lose a game in the 94th minute. We had more possession but in terms of shot count, it was all about Palace and our keeper having a decent game.

We know Lee sets his sides up well and has done for many a season and its proved to get much over on him but today we managed to get something from a game maybe we didn't deserve to but it makes up for the last few where we have lost when we deserved more, good old ESMS t its very best.

Premier League Round Twenty Five - Arsenal 2 - 0 Newcastle United

With the shock resignation of the Newcastle Manger, Arsenal took advantage of the uncertainty around the club right now with a two nil win with goals coming from Ansu Fati and Reece James. Ansu Fati has struggled a bit since his move from Man Utd but has been starting to get in on the goals at his new club which has brought a much needed win for The Gunners who now make it back to back wins after a poor run of three straight defeats.

Premier League Round Twenty Six - Southampton 3 - 4 Arsenal

After a bit of a poor run we now make it three wins on the bounce and a massive win in this round against a side who are doing really well and went into the game above us in the table thanks to another double from Timo Werner and a goal a piece from Saka and Ansu Fati.

We were in control of the game for the majority and at 4-1 up, were made to sweat as The Saints made a good go at a come back to get it back to 4-3 with fifteen minutes to go but we held out for a vital win and three points that although sees us still sitting in fifth place, we are just three points away from first place, not seen the table this close for some seasons now with first to sixth place separated by just three points at this stage of the season.

The main focus now is to keep going and push the sides above us as much as we can. The gap is so little in the table and Im sure there will be a lot more twists and turns before the curtain comes down for the season. With no cups to play for now, our sole aim is to finish as high as we can where we will then look at the situation in the game and where I / we go from there but right now, we have a few players nearing skill increases which we hope will happen in the next game two.

A tough game at home against Steve and his Chelsea side up next for us, a London derby which we managed to win at their place earlier in the season so we expect nothing less than a tough game once again.

Premier League Round Twenty Seven - Arsenal 4 - 5 Chelsea

To score four goals at home and still walk away with nothing is a bit of a bitter pill to swallow but an attacking game by both sides showed they can be lethal in the final third but shaky at the back. With the first derby at their place earlier in the season won by us we fully expected a much different approach by the Blues to see ninc goals scored in a game is madness but it happens.

Pleased to see another double by Timo Werner and another by Ansu Fati who is starting to now get in on the goals after his move some weeks ago but we are still off the pace to where we want to be. Disappointing to lose a big derby game but the stats do show were second best today.

Premier League Round Twenty Eight - Barnsley 2 - 0 Arsenal

After losing the London derby against Chelsea in the last round by a cricket score, we needed to get back to winning ways and next up, a fixture that has actually proven tough for us in seasons gone by but none the less, a game we should be walking away with all three points from but the story didn't end that way as we slumped to another defeat.

I think we played well enough in this one to get a draw but it wasn't a two nil defeat really but it is what it is and we have to dust ourselves down now and move on to another tough game in the next round with Liverpool coming to North London with us badly needing something from this one.

Premiership Round Twenty Nine - Arsenal 2 - 0 Liverpool

With two defeats in a row for us, Liverpool next up who are flying under Livi right now isn't the fixture we needed nor wanted but as we all know how random it is, our stop start form finally saw us on the right end of a two nil win thanks to goals from Ansu Fati and Joe Gomez.

I posted after the defeat to Barnsley that it was an even game and we didn't deserve to lose and that is the case for Liverpool in this one as they had the better of some of the stats and more than deserved something but its a win we will grab with both hands as we badly needed one and hopefully be able to push on in the next round.

A decision has been made and that is that the club are going to consider offers on some of their better players as we look to try and recruit a few top youngsters for the roster.

Premier League Round Thirty - Everton 1 - 4 Arsenal

We knew that we had to get something from this one to make the most of our win over Liverpool in the last round and we managed to make it a Merseyside double with a decent win over the blue half this round.

At half time we were in full control leading 3-1 with goals coming from R_Bentancur, B_Saka and Ansu_Fati after just nine minutes played but our defence has crumbled at stages this season so it was vital that we didn't and luckily we went and got another from Werner in the second half to take all three points which keeps us putting pressure on the sides above us.

The table is still so close to call right now but we do sit here thinking of the games in which we have dropped silly points in but we will keep going.

Premier League Round Thirty One - Manchester United 1 - 2 Arsenal

Our hosts were a bit better than us in this one but we managed to claw back from a goal down to get a massive three points away from home. With other results going our way too, this win, which makes it three on the spin couldn't have come at a better time.

At half time we went in a goal down but turned the game on its head with Thuram shortly after the restart and the winner came from a former red devil, Saka who is starting to hit some form for us.

The win moves us up into fourth spot now very close on the coat tails of Leeds and Man City who we have next. We did the double of the Merseyside teams in the last couple of weeks so will be hoping to make a Manchester double.

Premier League Round Thirty Two - Arsenal 1 - 0 Manchester City

We have had some really tough fixtures of late and managed to carve out some very results and this is right up there with them and a result that we did actually deserve. Not many sides restrict Man City to just one shot on target but a solid display at the back did just that. Aaron Hickey has been one of the best signings I've brought in for many a season, only arriving from Barca earlier in the season but has been superb since he signed and he popped up with the only goal of the game to get us a massive three points and keep the run we are on going.

The end of the season is well in sight now and the table still so close. All we can do is keep putting the pressure on the sides around and us hope for a slip up or two.

Premier League Round Thirty Three - Cardiff City 1 - 2 Arsenal

With four wins on the spin, our best run of form for some time, we went and made it five with a 2-1 win away at Cardiff City. We had to come back from a goal down in order to secure the win which I feel overall we deserved but Cardiff did give us a game for sure. Ansu Fati and Michael Olise getting the goals to put us just a couple of points away from Liverpool who still sit in first place. Still to close to call a winner with a number of sides so close in the table but we are doing all we can to give ourselves a chance of a title challenge.

Premier League Round Thirty Four - Arsenal 2 - 2 Leicester City

With the run we have been on, winning our last five this was a game that we had to win really especially as we would have gone top of the tree and although we deserved more than the point that we picked up, we had to work and come from behind yet again to salvage a point. The goals coming from Schlotrbeck and Saka got the point which makes its sixteen points from a possible eighteen of late which is still really good form but we really needed the win from this as we have Spurs in the North London derby up next at their place.
