    Premiership Round Ten - Liverpool 2 - 1 Arsenal

    The Gunners returned back to North London after their second visit to Anfield but failed to get revenge on the cup defeat just two days ago. A slightly better performance from Arsenal but on the whole, it was Liverpool who were in full control once again and got the three points on offer.

    The Arsenal boss spoke after the game ;

    " We should have learnt from the first game two days ago but we didn't really and although we set up slightly different, they picked us off fairly easily. Not to many positives to take from the game if I'm honest, even our goal come from of their payers so its clear that right now something isn't going right and we need to work on that be it new signings or changes to our setup and approach. We have been working on some possible incomings to the roster over the last week and have been close but not quite there in terms of agreeing a deal but we are speaking to a club regarding another option we have and will just have to see how it goes for now but I have full faith in the players we have to turn the little run of defeats around and hopefully that starts in our next league game against Everton ".

      Premiership Round Eleven - Arsenal 2 - 1 Everton

      " Going into this one on the back of two straight defeats made this a must win game even at this stage of the season as we have lost enough points and ground as it and cant afford to keep doing that. Even with Evertons league position, we knew this would be a tough game as David has ground out some good results against some good sides and this was a lost closer than Id have liked it to have been. The stats were in our favour but the stats don't win games as we've found out far to often this season and with both strikers getting a goal a piece, it was the result we badly needed ".

      Meanwhile, the club did have some transfer news this afternoon with the club confirming that they had secured the signing of French International Michael Olise. The Gunners have been on the hunt for attacking midfielder over the last week or so and the twenty two year Olise is set to link up with the club later this week.

        Champions League Group Game Three - Inter Milan 0 - 2 Arsenal

        A crucial game for both Inter and ourselves with both sides going into this with maximum points from our opening two group games so a chance to build a gap and also extend it with Utd and Barca who played in the other game.

        Made a slight change in formation for this one and picked up a really solid win against Inter who have started the season well in EFL1 with goals coming from Pino who is set to leave the club this week and a second and from young freebie Houben who came off the bench to secure the win late on. Three group games and three wins is above what we expected when the groups were announced which makes a nice distraction from the league in which our form is a bit stop start right now.

        A few changes on the way with Pino, Kubo and Botmann all set for moves away in the next week.

          Premiership Round Twelve - Arsenal 2 - 2 Man Utd

          I think both sides can look back at this one and be happy to walk away with a point in all honesty. Us for losing our keeper for the majority of the game and United for playing most of it with ten men. Pleased that we still went on to create some good chances and led twice and also that with an 18 in goal we didn't concede a shed load so although we had more chances on goal, a bit gutted that we couldn't score more than we did but also that we didn't lose an important game.

          Some changes ahead of the next game with Olise and Diaz in the roster, two big signings for the club which we fought hard to get done so a big boost going forward.

            Premiership Round Thirteen - Manchester City 2 - 2 Arsenal

            Back to back games in Manchester and another point secured by our freebie youth Houben who makes its two in two scoring vital goals in both games after coming on as a sub. One of the harsest fixtures in the league season for any side so a point away is always a solid result especially after going two goals down so well pleased to get back level and take something from the game that City were the better side in. A debut goal for Michael Olise and man of the match was certainly a high point but a low being the injury to Timo Werner.

              Champions League Group Game Four - Arsenal 0 - 1 Inter Milan

              With maximum points from our previous three group games, we went into this one knowing a win would seal our place in the next round but we were poor and got pretty much what we deserved with the only real bonus being that we only lost by just the one goal. We set up to try and make it hard for them to break us down but they had so much more of the game and the only goal coming late on which could well be because of my choice of subs at such a crucial time looking to get some minute on players that need them.

              Still doing well with nine points from twelve which is a great return but we were poor today.

                Premiership Round Fourteen - Arsenal 1 - 0 Cardiff City

                Very surprised to see a no show from Matt after doing so well lately so hopefully everything is ok with him outside of the game. With JB being very lenient and affording the visitors a 442 N sheet we still had a job to and although did get a much needed win, we made hard work of it if Im honest.

                Another goal from Asprilla who is really turning into a great signing for us turned out to be the only goal of the game. Not the best of performances but a vital three points on the board for us.

                  Premier League Round Fifteen - Leicester City 1 - 2 Arsenal

                  A result in which I think we deserved going by the stats but another game in which we made hard work of getting the three points. Going a goal down on the half hour mark saw us enter the second half with a few half time changes completed and goals from Werner and Luiz Diaz picked up a valuable three points on the road which sees us move up into third place. Just three points separate us in third and seventh place so still so close and with a massive North London derby on Friday night, hopefully we can keep the pressure up on Spurs who sit above us in second.

                  Some transfer news coming from the club is that a deal has been agreed with Man Utd that will see both Ansu Fati and Bukayo Saka sign for the club later this week with Asprilla and Luiz Diaz moving to Old Trafford.

                    Premiership Round Sixteen - Arsenal 2 - 0 Spurs

                    The first North London derby of the season went the way of the home side thanks to goals from Defenders Raum and former Spurs loanee Aaron Hickey. A solid performance by The Gunners saw them take all three points in a vital game that closes the gap on Spurs who still sit above them in second place. Although it was the away aside who saw more of the ball throughout, the all important stats went in Arsenals favour being two goals scored from unlikely sources.

                    The Arsenal boss spoke after the game ;

                    " A massive in both ours and Spurs season so to get the win is very special. Tim has taken over Spurs and has done so well this season, maybe not many expected it so quickly but he has hit the ground running and having a superb season. We had to work very hard for the win, we created more chances but at times did struggle to get a foot hold on the game with them havig=ng more possession but overall a great game by both sets of players and thankfully all three points for us ".

                      Premiership Round Seventeen - Burnley 2 - 1 Arsenal

                      A bit of tough result to take this after being the better of the two sides but losing to a 92nd minute goal. There is no doubt about that the current league position Burnley find themselves in is a alse one and they are much better than the engine currently sees them as, just look at last season, make the Champions League to a massive struggle to their first half of the season so we kew that it would be tough but to dominate the game away from home and lose so late on is always is a tough pill to swallow.

                      The bonus for us from the game is that Ansu Fati had a great game, scoring and getting the man of the match but its a shame that his performance didn't get us the result we deserved.

                      As we approach the half way point, we sit in a good league position so overall, its not been to bad.

                        Premiership Round Eighteen - Arsenal 3 - 1 Watford

                        A fixture that really nothing less than three points from would have done. With the table being so tight right now and following our loss to Burnley in the last round it was a perfect chance to get back to winning ways and we did just that with a first goal for the club from Saka and a double from Timo Werner. A game in which we dominated also so its nice to play well and get the result our efforts deserved. We had to work for it though with Watford lining up with a solid 541 which has proved tough to break down in the past. The table still so close with just a few points separating a bunch of clubs, nobody can allow any slip up right now.

                        A busy week ahead with West Ham away next and a possible Captain change on the horizon for the club.

                          Premiership Round Nineteen - West Ham United 0 - 4 Arsenal

                          The message from the Arsenal Manager after the win over Watford was that they couldn't afford any slip ups against West Ham United in round nineteen and that message more than filtered through to the players with the Gunners running riot at the London Stadium with a four nil win including a hattrick from Timo Werner who makes it five in two games after Defender Schlotrbeck had put the visitors in front after just twelve minutes. A result in this East v North London derby that Arsenal more than deserved but a big three points that now sees them level at the half way stage with Man Utd in second and Leeds United who still lead the pack.

                          The Arsenal boss spoke after the game ;

                          " The half way point sees us in a fantastic position in the league after this win. We got it right all over the pitch for a change and going into the last Champions League group game with our place in the knock out stages secured also, it does give us the allowance of maybe resting one or two in order to give minutes to those who are bit short.

                          A very important win for us to follow up the Watford victory and to be sat here at the half way stage neck and neck with some big clubs and the current Premiership Champions is good going ".

                            Champions League Group Game Six - Arsenal 1 - 2 Man Utd

                            We had arguably one of the tougher groups in this seasons Champions League so at the end of the group stage to have progressed through is definitely a job well done and we can thank our good form at the start for it before it tailed off.

                            A result against United that we really did more than enough to win after being the better of the two sides but the game was decided by the players who moved between the clubs a couple of weeks ago. Saka scoring past his former club, Ansu Fati scoring past his former club and Asprilla scoring the win against his former club but with our place already booked in the next stage rior to kick off, the result wasn't really that important although we deserved more from the game.

                            All eyes on the draw now with some very good sides making it through. Well done on the other sides who made it past the group stage.

                              Premiership Round Twenty - Arsenal 1 - 1 Sheffield Wednesday

                              We have to look at this as two points dropped in all honesty. We set up to face what we have known them to play in the past but it was a totally different Sheffield Wednesday side and despite dominating the game, it looked likely that we could still be playing now and not find the winner. We took the lead but really should have pushed on and secured all three points especially being at home so we have to chalk this off and look forward to the next game.

                              The second half of the season now upon us, a change of Captain with Joe Gomez taking the armband, minutes have nearly been secured by all squaddies that need them meaning we can now fully focus on keeping the pressure on the sides around us.

                                Premiership Round Twenty One - Leeds United 3 - 2 Arsenal

                                A tough fixture against a side that has been setting the pace pretty much all season and we return back to North London feeling somewhat sorry for ourselves after suffering the defeat when we really deserved something from it. We knew it was going to be tough after seeing Leeds all season turn sides over but to give a very good account of ourselves and get nothing to show for it has happened too many times for us this season so. We move on and try and get back to winning ways in the Champions League.
