    DPT Round 3 Group Game

    Everton 1 - 0 Lazio

Everton stayed top of Group A after a close win over Lazio to move nearer to qualifying to the last 8. Everton scored early on with a well taken free kick from Edouard and put the Toffees in a good position from the start. Lazio responded well but couldn't find an opening to draw level in a bad tempered game with five players yellow carded throughout he match. With the return leg next at Lazio this will be an important game for both sides with a win for Everton will most likely see them qualify from the group.

      Premiership Match 11

      Everton 2 - 1 Barnsley

After Everton's exit from the FA Cup at the hands of Barnsley it was the perfect time to get some sort of revenge in the Premier league match up at Goodison Park. Everton's set up was very different to the cup game after adapting a similar formation to Barnsley without much success and it worked this time. Within a couple of minute the Toffees were ahead with Edouard hitting a superb volley past the stretching hands of Barnsley keeper Maximiano to take the lead and with the home side keeping up the pressure on the Barnsley defence it told when a through ball from Zielinski to Edouard who was then unceremoniously brought down by Maddison just outside the penalty area was awarded a red card for his trouble. Into the second half and Barnsley down to ten men decided to go for it and pushed Everton back with into there own half looking for the elusive equaliser but Everton held tight and were biding ther time and as time was running out hit them on the counter perfectly minutes from the end with Moreno slotting a beautiful pass to midfielder Zielinski who took it in his stride to slot past the oncoming keeper. But it didn't end there with literally with seconds to go and the last kick of the game Barnsley scored with Dia the scorer.

        Premiership Match 12

        West Ham 4 - 2 Everton

A tough away trip for Everton to the London Stadium to face the Hammers who have been in good form of late with a position in the top six at present. Everton decided to load up there midfield with a passing game and it surprisingly started well for them, both teams had half chances early in the game but it was Everton who took the lead on the half hour with the Hammers defender Toloi adjudged to have pulled back the Toffees striker Edouard in the penalty area much to the discust of the players and home crowd and was duly put away emphatically by the striker. Not long after taking the lead Everton scored a second with Edouard scoring again this time with a well taken volley much to the surprise of the away fans who couldn't celebrate any harder and that's how the first half finished.
Literally as the the second half started West ham pulled a goal back much to the annoyance of the Everton bench and this goal rattled the Everton defence and were suddenly up against a Hammers onslaught and not long after Zaha levelled the match for West Ham and now they were finding there form and it was constant pressure in Everton's half with Toloi making amends for giving away a penalty scoring West Ham's third. Everton didn't have answer to this and the home side wrapped up this comeback with Sabitzer scoring the fourth.

          Premiership Match 13

          Everton 1 - 0 Burnley

The stats say Burnley should have won this game hands down with 63% possession twenty attempts on goal and how Everton rode there luck was through MOM Jordan Pickford Englands finest.. And scoring an early goal with midfielder Zaniolo getting on the end of a superb through ball from Zielinski and dinking it over the advancing Agirrezabala to take the lead after 2 minutes it was backs against the wall for the rest of the time left.
All that can be said was the Burnley deserved to get an equaliser at the very least but I'm sure there will be times that the same will happen to the Toffees and even to rub salt into the Clarets
they had a very good goal ruled out for a reason that only the official knew about. But 3 points do come in handy when least expected in the Premiership fight for survival.

            Premiership Match 14

            Blackburn Rovers 6 - 3 Everton

A disaster of a game for Everton even though they scored first with Eduoard with a well taken goal but it didn't last long, to be exact six minutes, all square again. Then it was Blackburns turn take the lead sixteen minutes in then a third came soon after to end any hopes of an Everton comeback and a fourth just before half time to half complete this rout.

And it only got worse with two more goals coming quickly in the second half but Everton did get 2 goals back before the the end but it was a poor performance or rather an embarassing show

              Everton 0 - 0 Southampton
A total bore draw and after conceding six goals in there previous league game this is an improvement and a valuable point for Everton against a very good Southampton team who had been on a very good unbeaten streak. Not much more to say
