    Inter Milan 1-2 Bayern Munich

A tough test for my first game in charge of the Bavarian giants. Not many teams will take maximum points from John at home this season. We edged the stats, and can thank a stellar performance from Wharton (2 assists) that led us to a solid away victory. Goals from Gnoto and Lukeba were enough to see us over the line.

All the best John, good game!

    Bayern Munich 1-0 Sporting Lisbon

Harris' debut at home for his new side, the fans packed out the stadium to take on Sporting Lisbon who are quietly going about their business, having defeated the world's best team, PSG in round one, Munich knew they were in for a tough game. Xavi Simons scored the opener by crossing to himself and finishing it delightfully with a diving header. You had to be there to see it! It was 1-0 at half time, and we continued edging the stats but unfortunately couldn't get a second. However, we settle for 1-0 and a great three points.

Managing minute expectations across our backline and back up youth forward will be huge challenges this season so knowing when to use these players will become crucial.

Good game Jason, all the best.

    Roma 2-3 Bayern Munich

A tough ask away to Roma, no matter the manager, their squad is still very talented and slightly stronger than ours. It was a real back and forth with the German side continuing their strong start to the season thanks to goals by: Simons, Gnonto and Sesko.

A brave move to leave new record signing Nico Paz on the bench but he came on and contributed well. We try to give fringe players a few minutes which is going to be a challenge.

Good game Hamza all the best for the season.

      Bayern Munich 3-2 Celtic

We scraped the three points in this one. Which keeps us undefeated and somehow top. Granted we've only played two top 10 sides, so we know there is a very long way to go as we are still yet to play the real big boys.

We went behind before Simons pulled one back, and then we grabbed two more through Sesko and then Wharton, but Celtic kept coming and got one goal back and made us sweat to the finish line.
We continue to give some minutes to fringe players,

      Good game Celtic (caretaker?).

        Bayern Munich 1-1 Rangers

A dominate display by the German giants. 25 shots to 4, did everything right except win! Rangers goalkeeper turned into fat bastard as he took up the whole goal stopping pretty much everything we threw at him (perhaps we need to throw chicken to distract him next time).

Rangers will be laughing and counting their lucky stars that they got away with a point here. 2 points dropped for us. We sit top after 5 games but are yet to play any of the giants of the game (Both madrids, Juventus, PSG or AC Milan).

        Good game Rangers.

        Arsenal 2-0 Bayern Munich

A close game despite the 2 goal score line. Set up for TA as we thought they'd be too strong otherwise. They were too strong anyway! It will be interesting to try find a good formation and tactical balance for when we play stronger sides than us (everyone in the CL and about 8 sides in the league). Positive news we managed to get a defender's passing to 19. Europe is going to be super tough, and this group is insane.

Good game Darren, all the best.

          Bayern Munich 3-0 Marseille

A solid home win against a Marseille side who have started this campaign wonderfully. We were however quite dominate from fairly early on. Diomande scoring his first of the season - rumours are circling that he could be up for sale but this great performance may have just changed things there. A second half brace from star striker Sesko made things out of reach for the French side, and keeping a clean sheet was massive for us in this game - and a rare thing.

Good game mate, all the best for the season.

          Manchester United 0 - 2 Bayern Munich

As Steve said, we did get quite lucky in this one. Fortunate to strike early, and somehow bagged a second before a few restructures to hold the lead after a disappointing round one defeat. This win gives us hope of qualifying but we need to get something against the mighty Real Madrid next, which will be another incredibly tough ask. Young gun Paz scored his first goal for the club and what a way to do it away at Old Trafford! Gnonto scored which was great as he is having far too many shots for goals scored but now has 3 goals for the campaign.

          Good game Steve!

              League wrap up (February)

              Round 10:

              Juventus 5-4 Bayern Munich

We got pummeled here. Aboslutely spanked, we did start with TA, and held it for a little while but found ourselves 5-1 down. Rashford with 4 goals, and our keeper with holes for hands.
The fact we managed to get so close and score 4 of our own was baffling as we only had 6 shots on target. We definitely deserved to lose this and wish Tony best of luck for the remainder of the season. Two losses in a row and possible mini crisis.

              Round 11

              Bayern Munich 4-2 Lens

Well, three very high scoring games in a row, we raced to a 4-0 lead with Sesko bagging a hattrick and lifting himself towards the top of the goalscoring charts. Unfortuantely we conceded two later goals and this is becoming a worrying trend at the back for us. Good game Lens, they are quite tough to crack at times for sure! But finally a win.

              Round 12

              Real Sociedad 0-4 Bayern Munich

A Sesko (top scorer in league) double and Gnonto double saw off Real Sociedad in style. A real clinical display for the German team as they have now scored 4 goals in each of the past 3 games. A rare clean sheet was a delight to Verbruggen and the travelling away fans. All the best to Sociedad who were unlucky in this one.

              Round 13

              Bayern Munich 2-3 PSG

The French giants took the lead twice, but that man Sesko again struck back both times (7 goals in 3 games). Howevver, despite dominating the game we conceded with the very last kick of the entire game. A real kick in the teeth, a sucker punch, but the side can be proud of their efforts against the best team in world football.

              Round 14

              Bayern Munich 4-2 AC Milan

The goals keep coming for Bayern, but they dry up for Sesko. This time Gnonto gets a brace as does Xavi Simons. Another real battle, and the home side managed to have just enough to edge past a stubburn Milan side. This win keeps us in the top four or so, and high above pre season expectations. We do know it is a very long season, but for now, pleasing - offensively. Quite concerning - defensively.

Round 15 and preview of Round 16

              Sevilla 0-1 Bayern Munich

Our second trip to Spain in recent weeks, and our second clean sheet. A solid defensive display and we are delighted to come away with the three points in what was a seriously difficult battle for our lads. The downside an injury to Simons. However he should be back for the game against Fiorentina, who sit top of the pile on Goal difference over PSG and ourselves. With Inter Milan behind us we need something from the Fiorentina game. Unfortunately Lukeba has been ruled out through suspension despite getting a red card in Europe - it carries over to the league. Fiorentina have the best defence in the competition so it's going to be a fun challenge.

                CL match reports

                Round 3:

                Bayern Munich 0-0 Real Madrid

We definitely went into this game quite nerbous despite a solid away win in Manhester last time out. It was a fairly even game, and both sides were very happy with a draw. The big challenge is now to go away to Real in ROund 4. We are still in with a chance of joining Madrid in the next round but it shall be tough.

                Round 4
                To be written

                EFL cup:

                Round 3

                bayern Muncih 1-0 Celtic

A very uncomvincing display by the Germans. Perhaps too many beers and sausages the night before. Sesko with the only goal and we are onto the next round. Unucky Celtic.

                Round 4:

                RB Leipzig 0-2 Bayern Munich

We travelled to the pretend football club run by Red Bull and thought we would give them a chance by playing two forwards. However, it was an easy victory and we wish them the best for the remainder of the season, under the guidance of 'that bloke from down south'.

The negative aspect was a red card to Lukemba who misses a crucial game against Fiorentina on Friday. All the best for RB in the remaining fixtures.

                  champiojsn league round 4

Real Madrid defeat us in a close encounter 2-1. Wasn’t enough against the insanely talented side

                  round 16

                  Bayern Munich 2-4 Fiorentina

A big game against one of the best sides in world football. We started quite well, but it was evident we were missing Lukemba as our defence just fell apart as per usual.

stat wise very even - in fact we edged the stats and had TA the majority of the game. Wasn’t to be and all the best to Fiorentina. Be good to see them win the league!
