I’ve added two sections regarding club and individual player stats. In the first section we look at the club stats and delve into the future for a glimpse at which clubs might finish top 5 in the EFL1 at EOS. For the second section I’ve simply listed what I think the top 3 players in skill per category are for the upcoming season.
Section 1.
I thought it would be interesting and amusing to see what clubs in EFL1 have the gift of skill. Bear in mind I used a well known module to help with the process. We’ll look at each of the 4 skills along with their totals. I’m pretty sure that the module I’m using basically accumulates the skills and shoots out the total number. But I could be wrong. In any case, it’s just for fun, I doubt it holds any serious weight. The top five clubs in each category for the EFL1 will be displayed in separate tables. I then decided to use a 4-4-2 formation to see if there is a difference in total skill for defense, midfield and attacking lines. The top two clubs are in bold font under each table.
Furthermore, table 5's, overall club skill seems to be quite accurate with Real Madrid and Paris St-Germain rating top clubs in EFL1. Obviously, once the season starts and matches are played, there is a very strong chance that much will change. Nonetheless, a simple way to get an idea of where clubs stand prior to the start of season IV.
Remark: Juventus, Inter Milan and Lazio, clubs that are serious contenders and should give the aforementioned clubs a run for their money.
Note: Squads used are one day prior to auction bonanza.
Top 5 clubs with ST (Keeper) skills.
Straight forward results with the keepers from Paris St-Germain and Juventus ranking top 2 from the table.
Top 5 clubs with TK (Tackling) skills.
In regards to tackling Spanish clubs Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid seem to rank 1 and 2.
Top 5 clubs with PS (Passing) skills.
Once again, Real Madrid tops with a significant midfield, along with Paris St-Germain a not so distant second.
Top 5 clubs with SH (Shooting) skills.
Real Madrid and Paris St-Germain get top marks in attack as well.
Top 5 clubs with OA (Overall-All) skills.
And finally, a familiar picture with Real Madrid and Paris St-Germain holding on to top spot in overall skill.
I could have added the ranking for all the clubs in EFL1 but, somewhat overkill.
The regular season is a marathon, therefore, I presume clubs with depth will prevail in the end. The rankings displayed does not take into account injuries, suspensions and cup matches, outcomes that can decimate any club, not matter how potent. As well, there is a variety of formations and tactics that a manager may use to influence the scoreline to a match.
Section 2.
Please keep in mind the players selected are all in their prime age, 22 to 26.
Keepers:
Defenders:
Midfielders:
Strikers:
For strikers, I’ve added honorable mentions:
All eyes are on Paris St-Germain, they seem to be the club to beat. Undoubtedly, a top contender for the many accolades up for grabs in season IV.
Disclaimer: All of the pseudo stats and predictions are strictly my perspective, I’m sure much can be argued. I suppose, if I’m off at EOS, we can all have a good laugh.
