Certainly signed my fair share of players over the years so plenty to choose from!

The one that will always stand out was way back in Season 5 when I took over at Arsenal. I made it my absolute priority to sign Andrey Arshavin and after a lot of haggling a fee of £110m was finally agreed with Chelsea to land him. At the time it felt like a huge sum of money.

From memory he was a 14-14 AM and he was the catalyst for us lifting the FA Cup that season and the Champions League the following year.

Great days and Andrey will always be the player I have the fondest memory of.

It was such a milestone event in the game this, as far as big signings go this one sticks out in my mind more than any other.

    A_McCarey/Rui_Patricio/Ederson

What club was it for? Huddersfield Town/Man City
Who did you sign him from? WBA or Marseille
    What was the fee? 1m
What was so special about the player and did they do anything that led your team to FFO glory? If memory serves me right he has been at the club the longest and has been amazing. Started as a 14 and still growing. Has won over 20 major trophies during his career so far. Will he be replaced with a younger model?? Probably not in the near future

What club was it for? Sunderland
Who did you sign him from? Inter Milan
What was the fee? 6 million (plus 10% signing fee)
What was so special about the player and did they do anything that led your team to FFO glory? We're going all the way back to original FFO season 1 for this. I took over Sunderland early in season 1 with a below average squad, managed to sign a 34 year old Luis Figo from Inter for £6 million plus the obligatory signing on fee, he was a 12 8 attacking midfielder but became the best player in the squad. We faced Arsenal in the last game of the season and did enough in that match to secure a top 8 finish and qualify for Europe the following season. His stats weren't anything special but in a team that scored only 24 goals in the season we shouldn't have come anywhere near Europe!

        Aguero

There was a big expectation I'd sign Mane from the auction as I needed a better striker to compete with the top teams in ROE1. But at the last minute Tony Ayre (Fiorentina) boosted his auction balance and pipped me for him. So I had to buy Aguero in round 2 of the auction.

        Got him for about 70m.

With Aguero up front we did the impossible and won the title with a crazy run of beating the top 8 sides in the last 10 games. It was particularly delicious to beat Inter Milan last game of the season and pip perenially under achiever Simon Clark (PSV) to the title. Clark had always told me I might take a club from ROE2 to Champions League qualification. But that's as far as I would go.

Fiorentina, Mane & Ayre were no-where to be seen that season.

Aguero didn't stay long after that.

But it was my sweetest signing.

My favourite signing unfortunately was in name only. Bought Rashford for Stoke last season. Mainly to keep Stoke up, not only did he not help with that I’m around half an extended season he scored maybe 2 for them.

Stats wise not the best striker, but like in real life I suppose.

My most memorable signing was a loan for my first team Norwich. Managed to loan G_Jesus. Amazing youth player and played so well for them. It was just a great pity he was someone else’s player.

After the reset for me and taking Stockport, my fave signing up to now is my first auction success W_Gnonto. 88 million, the closest bid to that was 72 million, so I definitely overpaid, but I felt I had to offer more than Fiorentina’s finances to get him. Having the bid be a success is the start of a big future for Stockport County! He may have to move on for that, but no matter what he will make the team better!
