Hamza has worked wonders as caretaker and the Tractor Boys have a very outside chance of making the play-offs. Realistically 9th might be the highest they can achieve this season.

Hamza has one of the strongest squads in the Championship and it will be interesting to see if Ipswich will be able to attract a manager in the close season.

    Current Balance: £11,500,000
    League Gate Receipts: £4,500,000
    League 5th Place: £13,000,000

    FLT Semi Final: £2,000,000
    FLT Gate Receipts: £1,000,000
    Objective Money: £5,000,000

    Media: £4,000,000
    Wages: (£10,700,000)
    Stadium Upgrade 10k: (£15,000,000)

Academy Upgrade (Scout and Coach): (£0)
    Total Maximum Funds: £15,300,000

With a modest maximum fund balance if they achieve their highest possible finish, Ipswich Town Board will be looking to appoint a manager that can take the Club forward.

With Hamza investing maximum funds for his main Club Roma it will be interesting to see if he repeats this if he remains caretake manager at Portman Road.

Irrespective of the manager I expect to see Ipswich Town competing at the top of the table next season.

Will Schoolar is in the process of building something special at the Coverntry Building Society Arena. Coventry City have done quite well in a competitive Championship and I fully expect them to continue to invest in their infrastructure. A great FLT cup run saw them reach the Quarter Finals which delighted the fanbase.

      Current Balance: £3,500,000
      League Gate Receipts: £4,500,000
      League 9th Place: £8,000,000

      FLT Semi Final: £1,000,000
      Objective Money: £5,000,000

      Media: £0
      Wages: (£9,700,000)
      Stadium Upgrade 10k: (£15,000,000)

Academy Upgrade (Scout and Coach): (£20,000,000)
      Total Maximum Funds Deficit: (£22,700,000)

Will is not known for making many transfers, which may mean that Coventry City do not invest any funds in infrastructure this close season.

Will may well look to raise funds so that he can continue to invest in the Clubs future as he already has the foundations in place and will likely want to take Coventry City to the next step in their evolution.

        West Bromwich Albion

Number of players that can be promoted from Academy: 1
Net Reduction in SHN Value (not including EOS abs): £70,300,000.
        Potential Prize Money:

West Bromwich Albion have a solid good squad which demonstrates how competitive the Championship really is. Frank Deeming and the Baggies fanbase will be expecting a better points return next season as they have quality throughout the squad.

        Current Balance: £31,550,000
        League Gate Receipts: £6,000,000
        League 10th Place: £7,000,000
        Objective Money: £5,000,000

        Media: £4,000,000
        Wages: (£10,100,000)
        Stadium Upgrade 10k: (£0)

Academy Upgrade (Scout and Coach): (£0)
        Total Maximum Funds: £43,450,000

With the Baggies already having one of the biggest Stadiums in the Championship and forecast to have one of the biggest cash balances it will be interesting to see if some of those funds are committed to the Academy or spent on improving an already impressive squad.

I suspect that Frank will be looking to improve on this season.

          Bournemouth

          Current Balance: £8,550,000
Number Players to be lost due to be over 31 Years of Age with Zero Value: 1
Number of players that can be promoted from Academy: 4
Net Reduction in SHN Value (not including EOS abs): £69,205,000.
          Potential Prize Money:
          • League Finish: 12th to 20th = £7m to £4m
          • Objectives last season = £5m
          • Stadium Upgrade 0K last season = £0m to repeat this season

Scott Reay will be quietly disappointed with Bournemouth’s performance this season but will be optimistic for next season and beyond.

The question is will Scott have enough funds to take Bournemouth forward and will Scott have to sell Reyna to raise much needed funds in the close season.

          Current Balance: £8,550,000
          League Gate Receipts: £5,600,000
          League 12th Place: £7,000,000
          Objective Money: £5,000,000

          Media: £0
          Wages: (£9,750,000)
          Stadium Upgrade 5k: (£6,000,000)

Academy Upgrade (Scout and Coach): (£0)
          Total Maximum Funds: £10,400,000

The Cherries may have to make some moves in the transfer market to try and raise funds to take the South Coast Club forwards, however Scott and similar clubs in Bournemouth’s financial position may find it hard to afford the kind of players that will take their Clubs forward.

There is a lot of work to be done at the City Ground and HD may have to sell their Star Striker to raise funds to make improvements in midfield and defence.

With HD increasing the Stadium by 10k seats last season in will be interesting to see if HD diverts funds to the Academy or his squad.

            Current Balance: £1,550,000
            League Gate Receipts: £5,400,000
            League 14th Place: £5,000,000
            Objective Money: £5,000,000

            Media: £0
            Wages: (£9,550,000)
            Stadium Upgrade 5k: (£15,000,000)

Academy Upgrade (Scout and Coach): (£0)
            Total Maximum Funds Deficit: (£7,600,000)

HD will have a lot of tough decisions to make in the close season and sacrificing increasing the Stadium capacity to keep the Club finances in the black.

With HD being another manager that is not renowned for dipping his toes in the transfer market it will be interesting to see how Forest progress over the next few seasons.

Cliff Coates is another manager not renowned for actively playing the transfer market, however with a squad full of talent this might change in the close season as Cliff is likely to want to compete at the top end of the table next season.

              Current Balance: £36,250,000
              League Gate Receipts: £4,000,000
              League 14th Place: £5,000,000

              DBC Quarter Final: £3,000,000
              Objective Money: £5,000,000

              Media: £0
              Wages: (£11,350,000)
              Stadium Upgrade 5k: (£0)

Academy Upgrade (Scout and Coach): (£0)
              Total Maximum Funds: £41,900,000

Compared to a lot of teams Cliff has a healthy balance to attack the Championship next season.

It with be interesting to see if Cliff looks to add more quality to the first team or dip his toe into the Academy to start nurturing home grown talent.

One thing is for sure Cliff will be looking to have a much better season next season considering they have one of the biggest wage bills in the Division.

Derek Purvis is another manager that does not panic buy and is very calculated when he does venture into the transfer market.

Despite a disappointing season Stoke City has a talented young side and it will be interesting to see if Derek has been accumulating cash to divert to the Academy and stadium capacity as bet365 Stadium is one of the smallest in the game.

                Current Balance: £24,400,000
                League Gate Receipts: £4,200,000
                League 16th Place: £4,000,000
                Objective Money: £5,000,000

                Media: £0
                Wages: (£10,100,000)
                Stadium Upgrade 5k: (£0)

Academy Upgrade (Scout and Coach): (£0)
                Total Maximum Funds: £27,500,000

It is very hard to predict what Derek will do to rectify this season. Will he stick and keep the faith in his relatively young side or will he make sweeping changes.

The close season will be closely watched by the Stoke City fanbase but whatever happens Stoke City currently have the quality to finish a lot higher up the table than they will this season.

                  Sunderland

                  Current Balance: £5,400,000
Number Players to be lost due to be over 31 Years of Age with Zero Value: 3

Number of players that can be promoted from Academy: 3

                  Potential Prize Money:
                  • League Finish: 16th to 20th = £4m to £4m
                  • Objectives last season = £5m

David Gooch is another manager that puts his trust in his players but with an ageing squad, quite big wage bill and a poor season the Sunderland fanbase might be expecting to see the start of a rebuild as they sit in a bit of financial trouble and could risk falling behind a lot of Championship Clubs.

                  Current Balance: £5,400,000
                  League Gate Receipts: £6,000,000
                  League 16th Place: £4,000,000
                  Objective Money: £5,000,000

                  Media: £0
                  Wages: (£10,550,000)
                  Stadium Upgrade 5k: (£0)

Academy Upgrade (Scout and Coach): (£0)
                  Total Maximum Funds: £9,850,000

Things are looking financially very bleak at the Stadium of Light but due to the Stadium hosting 50k each week this is one part of the rebuild David may feel he does not have to bother about.

With funds low Sunderland may have to get more active in the transfer market to start reducing age in key areas and if successful in raising enough funds may where decide to go down the Academy route to produce their own production line of talent.
