The Premiership saw an unbelievable end to the season as Fantasy Football truly lived up to its name!

On the last day of the season third placed Spurs, who had finished 14th the year before, could only equal leaders Liverpool on points if they lost at Leeds, and then they had to swing a 10 goal difference. Arsenal in second just needed to overcome West Ham to beat their arch rivals. In an amazing end to a tight season, Spurs won 6-1 at Leicester and Liverpool went down 3-0 at Leeds, with West Ham beating Arsenal - and Spurs were champions!

Manager Tim Brown said “What a season! My chance to manage my favourite team could not have ended better and it’ll be harder next time that’s for sure. But to win the Prem and more importantly snatch it from Arsenal - thank you FFO, it’s been emotional!”

      Here come the kids!

As Alan Hansen once famously said “You can’t win anything with kids” - however in an exciting new development this season sees the first influx of youth academy players to the first team squads. We don’t have any Fergie fledglings but some teams have taken on the youth approach with full force - expect to see Windy’s weeners and Bankys’s boys to produce some future stars as Millwall and Norwich lay down long terms plans. With scouts and coaches also featuring the opportunity to build a side up from ground zero is more exciting than ever.

        New boss at Real

The biggest vacancy to fill at the end of the season was the hot seat at Real Madrid. Ian Greaves steered the Spanish giants to the EFL title in his first season and then decided to quit at the top and retired after a lengthy career in the game. The games leading bookmakers, AB Bets, had Birmingham boss Freddie Kaye as the favourite, and he was duly appointed as manager with a tough act to follow. Real have now won 3 of the last EFL titles and Kaye will inherit a squad of galacticos. He earns the position after a solid season with Birmingham, rebuilding a squad with youth, and knows that this will be a completely different challenge with trophies the only currency. Juventus and PSG will no doubt strengthen and continue their fierce rivalry at the top of the table, and it promises to be another mighty battle.

                Season 4 league campaigns end

Season 4 ended in the most dramatic style in the premier league in a surprise nobody saw coming as outsiders Tottenham Hotspur overcame the odds to become the latest side in the FFO history books to lift the premier league trophy. The trophy looked destined for Merseyside with Liverpool the firm favourites going into the final round, but after a massive bottle job from the reds, Tottenham over took them at the last hurdle to win the season 4 premier league season. Manager Tim Brown has etched his name into the record books with his performances this season and has shown he can go down as one of the best after his underdog story last season.

                --------------------------------------------------

Bristol City were one of the more fancied sides to mount serious title challenge during season 4 and they did not disappoint. With caretaker manager Tim Brown at the helm the fans were restless throughout the season worried more attention would be given to Mr Brown's full time job, but as time went on, Tim would become a local hero and etch his name into the Bristol City record books after guiding them to championship victory and back into England's top division. Did anyone see a double title win for Tim brown at the start? absolutely not, but what an achievement and Tim Brown who now vacates the caretaker role will leave the club forever in their memories as a club hero.

                --------------------------------------------------

Ian Greaves, who is he? what has he won? What has he done? He continued the legacy built by former Real Madrid managers and led his team to the title at the first time of asking. With rivals Paris Saint Germain faltering and applying more considerations towards their champions league defence allowed for Real Madrid to win a two horse race and see off rivals Juventus with a few games to spare. Mr Greaves with a few points to prove would have been disappointed with his European performance, but will be over the moon with his first top flight title win. Shortly after the title win, news broke of the retirement of Ian who can remember his last game in the ESMS world as lifting the ROE 1 trophy with the Madrid fans chanting his name.

                --------------------------------------------------

Mariselle fans were in dreamland at the end of season 4, they had done it, Euan Neale had led his team to the ROE2 title and returned the French giants back to the promise land of Europe's elite football in ROE1. The unknown manager set about his work quietly and showed his class on the pitch in a very competitive league and showed lots of grit and determination working with his team and having lady luck on his side nothing was going to stop the young manager and his French team from lifting the ROE2 title. Marseille fans didn't have long to celebrate before their manager announced his decision to leave the game with immediate effect.

Es wird außerdem berichtet, dass der FFO-FA eine Sondergenehmigung erteilt hat, damit der Trainer trotz seines abgelaufenen Profi-Trainerscheins wieder in der Liga arbeiten darf.

Atalanta Break Transfer Record with Baldanzi Signing from Napoli for €42.5M

Atalanta has shattered their transfer record by acquiring midfielder Tommaso Baldanzi from Napoli for £42.5 million. This move confirms Atalanta’s ambitions to solidify their position in EFL2 and compete for European success. We already have since glimpse of the potential of La Dea last year in DBC but they lacked some consistency during the season. No doubt that the Italian rising star Baldanzi will help them erase this flaw and help the club secure a potential play-off sport at the end of the season.

Jack Sorensen had this to say: “Baldanzi is the playmaker we were looking for. We expect him to bring creativity and versatility to our attack and to replace Reijnders (left to Newcastle). I know this quite surprising, but our great DBC run last year allow us to be ambitious this season. I trust now our midfield to be one of the best of the league and hopefully, the mayonnaise (sic) takes off quickly so we will be able to play a role for the promotion!”

This bold step forward for the club sent a signal to the competitor that they will have to count on them this season
