Sparta Prague new manager unveiling
Ahead of the new season Sparta Prague have been looking for a new manager.
Rumours over who it would be have been ongoing for weeks, news outlets have had plenty of rumours and leaks and fake news stories from club insiders to people in the know.
But the wait is over as they have there man to lead them in to the new season
Emlyn Brennan has been officially confirmed as the new head coach of AC Sparta Prague
The Irish man has signed a three-year deal, tying him to the club for season four five and six.
In a change from tradition, he will become the club's first head coach rather than manager, The change in title fits in with a new management structure at the club, which has been given an overhaul in recent months.
The club said in a statement: He will soon become the first head coach of Sparta Prague from the emerald isles and his first pre-season in charge of the squad set to get under way ASAP
AC Sparta Prague sporting director Tomas Rosicky welcomed Mr Brennan and said he believed The 44 year old Irish man was a perfect fit for the club and hopes he will help Sparta improve year on year.
He encouraged fans to show their support for the new manager in the season ahead
The new managers starts straight away and comes in after the club was looked after last season by caretaker was Si@burnley.
Rosicky thanked Si@burnley for all the great work he put in at Sparta last season, He really got them in to a good position and the squad is well placed to progress under there new manager Mr Brennan
We hope that all the ground work put in by Si@burnley will help Mr Brenna and AC Sparta Prague have a great season this year
Mr Brennan joined Sparta from FC Schalke 04 where he left very abruptly, was on AC Sparta Prague long list of candidates for the role.
He had two years left on his contract with the Schalke but was released from it after Sparta agreed to pay £0.000001m in compensation.
Sparta used sophisticated data analysis, character and performance research, market assessment, performance evaluation and various other indicators before settling on Mr Brennan as their preferred candidate.
Schalke finished last season at the very bottom of the league and the fan there were very happy to see the manager go.
For the new season the Sparta fan and owners will hope for a lot better this season from Mr Brennan
