Liverpool are placed 11th in the Premier League, just trailing the Clarets by 4 points, while also simultaneously battling for a place in the finals of the DPT. News has broken that Hamza had unsuccessfully attempted to jump ship to Barcelona and speculation is rife about the manager's future in the Liverpool job and whether this will be the end of Hamza in Merseyside, in a bid to clarify his position. Hamza called upon a press conference..
Hamza: "As you are already aware by now, I indeed was shortlisted for the Blaugrana job but it fell through. Whether or not it was the right call is not for me to decide but fellow manager Sam Bradwell clinched the prized job."
Hamza: "To be linked with such a name in football is something one would dream about, and sadly at this time that dream will only remain a dream. It's time to move on from this failure and look ahead to what has to come."
Hamza: "Not to be disrespectful to the others involved, we don't have a troublesome run in. The teams involved wouldn't be the ones we should be fearing to achieve our objective.. our objective? To clinch the DPT and to finally finish in the UCL places after years of getting so close to it. Then to tip my hat to the Anfield faithful and to move on, regardless of whether I have a job or not. Maybe who knows if there will be a change of heart towards the end, but for now we will give it everything we got. Trying our best doesn't mean we will get what we want, it will however make it a lot easier to achieve our goals. First of all, we shall move on to conquer all of Europe..":
