  • RBS looks to academy

RBS Salzburg is looking inwards for future talent.

Officials from the Red Bulls have confirmed this week that they are looking at the long term improvement on the roster through their academy. Club Manager Dave Thacker discussed the changes that may take place. “We’re happy with the development that we’ve see in the players in our academy. We’re looking into improving the academy and adding for players through the academy system.” Thacker is realistic about the the current state of the club (currently in 17th of the table). We we’re young and we’re thin on attackers.” he said “When you are in the position it’s tempting to look for the magic bullet that’s going to fix the problem. That bring puts the balance sheet in to a very bad place. We can’t afford a move that’s going to force us to get rid of the talent we’ve got. Ramping up the academy, along with increasing our stadium is going to get the base need to move up the table.” Thacker asks for the supporters patience while he builds Salzburg’s roster. “This is going to be fixed this season or next. This year we assessed the roster, next season we start building the talent. Then we are going to see the fruits of our labors.” Thacker insists that he is not frustrated with the this season. “I was attracted to this club because of the young talent already on the client. And I take full responsibility for the defenses lapse when he have had. I think N_Atubolu should be in the top five keepers in EFL2. I did not put the defense he needed to support him. Our goals against should be half the size it is now. I own this. We will be working hard to bring our young squad developed and supported.” Watch for end of seasons actions for Salzburg. There is a lot on the line.
