Red Bull officials released a press release stating that they are interested in improving the the Red Bull Arena, with a possible increase of capacity. No official request for approval from been sent to the city. Before the work can be done the government must be satisfied that the permits would be inline with current nature conservancy, protection of monuments and air and water pollution. While RBS is in fair financial shape, the is a sharp divide amongst the board of directions whether more money should used for facilites, or personnel updates. Manager Dave Thacker had a terse “No comment” when asked about the plans. Thacker is longing for more talent in the RBS midfield, and more plastic seats and restrooms may not be to his liking. The next step for RBS would be sending blueprints an official engineering statements to the various city and central government. That may happen in the next few days.
