Atletico Madrid manager Simon Marsh discussed the stats at the half way stage "Its not far away from what I expected. We know that most weeks we get more shots than the opposition and feel we should have more points than what we have this season. It bodes well for an improvement in the second half of the season if we can continue with the level of performances. The goal difference is shocking. To turn a positive 77 shot count into only +2 goal difference is beyond crazy. We have a 24-rated goalkeeper, two of the highest rated defenders in the game and two strikers who would get in most teams starting sheets so it is not as though a lack of skills gives us any answers".
