Today’s hot talking point amongst football managers is the three way deal between Celtic, FC Barcelona & Juventus which was set in motion late last night.
Juventus put pen to paper on a deal worth £150,000,000 which will see A_Z_Anguissa join the club from Scottish team Celtic.
At the same time, J_Sulato headed from FC Barcelona to Celtic for the same fee of £150,000,000.
On the face of it, it appears that Celtic manager, Sam Bradwell, had sold his defensive midfielder to one team and used those funds as in order to bring in defender J_Sulato however it was later revealed that A_Z_Anguissa will only remain a Juventus player for a matter of days as he will depart the club to rejoin his former team FC Barcelona.
Some may ask, why didn’t Celtic and Juventus do a straight swap? Well, Celtic signed A_Z_Anguissa
FROM FC Barcelona and therefore the rules state that you cannot resign a player from the same club that you sold them to for 1 calendar year.
This smart little work around makes Andy Banks and his Juventus team a ‘middle man’ so that the deal can take place. A job that has been common within FFO for a number of years now so the question begs;
Why all the fuss?
Well it’ll come as no surprise that the managers who seem to have an issue with it are Gary Wilson, Simon Clark & Steven K Talbot and have spent the better part of the day appealing to the FFO FA and begging them to issue sanctions to the three clubs.
While Juventus as only the middle man and aren’t taking a cut or fee for doing such a generous act, they seem to have been the main focus of the three headed monster with Real Madrid manager Steven K Talbot going as far as saying ‘The FFO FA allowing this deal to stand lets Juventus off the hook!’
It just so happens that during A_Z_Anguissa’s one week spell at the Italian club, Juventus face Real Madrid.
Perhaps this is the source of the complaints? And the two other usual suspects just jumped on the bandwagon?
PSG manager Simon Clark was still unavailable for comment, but considering how red his eyes were I’d say he’s suffering from hay fever early this year.
Irrelevant Inter Milan manager Gary Wilson, who himself has been caught suggesting the very same scenario when making transfer offers, laughed off his suggestions claiming that he’s drawn a line under the past and therefore he’s still in the right.
Wilson then hinted at resigning from his post at Inter Milan, claiming that things aren’t fair…Most likely a smokescreen for his Milan teams’ poor performance in the opening 15 games of the season in which the club have drawn more games than they’ve won.
Will the FFO FA punish any of the three clubs?
Should Juventus be caught in the crossfire?
Should Juventus be getting paid for this kind of act?
We spoke to Juventus manager Andy Banks regarding the situation:
“The whole situation is laughable.
Those three will find an issue in anything I do these days.
I’ve noticed that it’s ME whose bearing the brunt of their planned assault…when I’m hardly involved in the deal.
Not one negative word has been said about FC Barcelona and their manager Graeme Edwards, yet it’s FC Barcelona who made this happen through wanting A_Z_Anguissa back from Celtic.
It would be a valid argument had the likes of Talbot, Wilson, Clark & Hughes (Derek) not been doing this kind of thing for a few years now.
Wilson even spoke to Celtic manager Sam Bradwell about the possibility of doing such a deal in order to bring B_Kamara back to the San Siro but I’m told he’s just laughed it off as ‘Talking about and doing are two very different things’
The guy is a joke. He, along with the other two, always have an agenda and somehow find a way to pardon their previous comments and actions in order to look down on the rest of FFO.
As for Talbot, I wasn’t even aware that we had a game against them on the horizon and that A_Z_Anguissa would be in our squad to face them, but it just so happens to be the case and there’s nothing that I can do about that now.
Had Steven contacted me privately about his fears over what an extra player could do to his team, after seeing us demolish league leaders PSG, then I’d have happily rested A_Z_Anguissa in order to make it a fair competition but instead he’s cooked up this narrative with his buddies in order to try to get the deal reversed. Unlucky.
As for the head of the snake, Wilson being the arsehole of the snake, Clarke.
I’m not surprised that he’s yet to speak to the media after his clubs embarrassing loss on Monday, however he’s still pulling the strings from behind the curtain and that will never change.
These deals ARE legal. The managers who have taken issue with these deals have been involved in them in the past…FACT
All this reaction does is show them to be three desperate, pathetic managers who have nothing better to do than complain about other teams getting better!”
