Supposed Advantaegous Byes, Inaccuracies, and the What-If Cup Dream
The winner of 8 major trophies with Real Madrid.
Including 5 league titles.
A literal handful.
And a Champions League triumph (over Villa)
The man, the myth, the maestro Steven K, responded to the comments of the Roma coach, (because manager is a strong word) - affectionately known amongst close pals as Saint Derek of Snake Oil.
"I called it last night.
My piss was to be honest still boiling after missing out on the huge spunk of abs on offer from the botched run first round of the cup, thanks to a so called advantaegous bye.
I consoled Sam to help me feel better.
Then I moved on and jealously I said to Garysean who grabbed a greedy 1650 abs that night.
"I'll probably draw someone good next like a Barca or Inter away so is my luck"
So I was relatively happy when we drew Roma away, because at least it wasn't the absolute worst that could happen, right? I wouldn't stand a chance away to the green lucky underpants of Livi.
It's certainly not a gifted abs fest from a tier 3 side though unless we both play A to at least try to make some magic happen. Unlikely though. Some managers just don't have the luck.
Saint Derek was right about some things, but erronous on others, which is the usual inaccuracies you come to expect from Hughes when it pertains to actual numbers and facts.
Some might say on purpose.
Yes he's right.
Madrid have a huge war chest still at their disposal just when prices are coming down.
One might come to think, that this outcome was perhaps, maybe, possibly, one of the pros considered as a consequence of missing out on Jude Bellingham.
Worse situations could have happened, right?
He's wrong on 6th placed though, we clearly finished 5th. Both aren't great though I conceed, but I mean, be accurate and all that if you're having a go."

"Derek's totally right though on one thing, I must be useless.
I haven't won anything have I?
I mean if I had, I'm sure I'm sure I'd list the medals won in my interviews and all.
Oh we did? Ok. Well there you have it.
How bad are we then if so?
Although, one does wonder when was the last major trophy that Roma won.
And that's not a question. It's a fact.
So if I'm useless, which must be true.
And if Roma are the best club in the game right now going by the rankings.
Then he's ultimately right on the most important aspect of his interview.
Sighcakes.
Madrid have little chance in the cup, especially away from home.
We will concentrate on the league, and whatever happens, happens in the cup, no big deal.
We might as well give up now, right?
But, just think now, what if?
What if?
What if we did beat them?
Wouldn't that be a show up to behold?!"
