Recent news in the world of football has seen Juventus manager Andy Banks and new Sporting Lisbon manager, Anthony 'Rol' Harris, go up against each other in the media.
Banks made a claim that Lisbon would be fighting for 10th place vs AC Milan (The club that rejected him) and claimed that Harris' actions, when leaving previous club Barnsley, were laughable.
Harris left the South Yorkshire outfit after failing to secure the AC Milan position and despite there being nothing to back up his claim, he still insists that the AC Milan board got the decision wrong.
Since then, Harris has hit back at Banks, claiming that he IS in fact the best manager that Barnsley have ever had despite clearly being 3rd behind the likes of Jon Banks and Marcus Hawksworth, two legendary managers at the club.
Harris then went on to state that his club wouldn't be happy with 10th and that they were actually targeting 8th place.
We read out the statement to Banks at the Juventus first pre season training session and this was his reaction:
"I'm not sure who has been blowing smoke up his arse to make him believe in his own hype so much.
He's done very very little with Barnsley, and while last season he did an excellent job at the club..to claim he's the best Barnsley manager ever etc, is just a joke.
The bottom half of the Premier League is filled with absolute trash. Look at the likes of Brighton who we swept aside last season, no wonder a committed manager like Harris had his team doing well.
I'm in no way saying he's a poor manager and Sporting Lisbon will no doubt do well this season if he sticks around, BUT to talk down about Banks and Hawksworth when they achieved amazing things for the club makes everything think that Harris is a fool.
His claim that Barnsley won't find anyone as good as him to be his replacement is just disrespectful and coming from a manager who didn't commit to the club until very late last season, I don't think he's in a position to make that statement.
As for AC Milan, they MAY have made the wrong decision but it was theirs to make. It'll be very interesting to see how the season plays out and where Lisbon and Milan will finish in the EFL 1 table but for now, I'd keep myself quiet if I were Harris"
