Prospect of a shocking appointment leads Hughes to a U-turn?

With Roma fans reeling from the announcement that one of the all-time great managers had resigned. Devastation swept the city with news Inter boss GarySean Wilson was eyeing up the position.

With GS failing to make any progress with Inter, sources close to the miserable Scot revealed he saw this as the only way he would ever challenge for a trophy. Despite all the noise and claims from GS - Inter have obviously gone backwards under his reign. And Roma fans feared the worst if he got the job.

Within the last hour rumours have started circulating that Hughes is considering a dramatic U-turn to rescue the Roma fans from such a dire appointment.

No-one was available for comment from AS Roma.

Inter Milan boss Garysean Wilson provided a reply in his post match press conference with speculation from Derek Hughes of Roma that the Scotsman was after the pirates ship which is Roma, speculation that seemed to come out of nowhere and direct from the Roma Managers mouth:

”why would I leave Inter Milan for an ageing side that we are very close to overtaking as a club and a team in quality, while Roma have stagnated with uncertainty behind who will manage them and the players downing tools and suffering back to back defeats as they no longer believe motivational speaker Derek Hughes it’s great he’s staying but it looks to me he’s lost the dressing room, I’m certain they will be watching back to back wolf of Wall Street and Jerry Maguire on instructions from the boss to re motivate them while we continue to improve and catch them, we will prove this by comfortably rolling Roma over on Sunday night where Jimmy Hart Hughes better get to work before then, Forza Inter”
