It does not end there. Bournemouth were poorly managed last season and left with a massive number of players short for the current season as so many players left after not playing enough minutes. With teams reluctant to sell squaddies due to their low value and low minute pull the only easy way out was the BHN list for Bournemouth. This has however led to more issues. With 8 players signed from the buy him now list trying to sign players with as few retaining minutes as possible the squad is now pretty set in concrete. The additional promotion of 3 academy players and a announcing a team captain means Bournemouth have 12 players they cannot sell or trade with.
Caretaker Marsh commented "Whilst we have plugged the shocking mess left behind we are massively restricted from carrying on work with over half the squad fixed here until the end of the season. Almost £100m has been banked but completing deals is now really hard as generally most teams need a player back and we do not always have one that is of the right mix for the deal. It will be much easier come the end of the season to get deals sorted but the team could do with strengthening sooner rather than later".
